It's spring so I was wondering if anyone has any allergies and how severe they are?
What do you use to help?

I suffer from:
-Dust
-A majority of pollens
-Cats (Which i own three... but they aren't that severe)
-Mosquito and Bee stings
(Yes I know everyone is allergic to mosquitoes, except that mine swell to the size of golf balls)

Severity? Other then bee stings and mosquitos I only get a runny nose, sneeze, and if I get dust/cat hair in my eyes they itch real bad.

I use Benedryl but I still tend to be a mess. It sucks.
It was the WORST when the Swine Flu was going around and I was dealing with spring allergies. 😐

Cigarette smoke. That is all, and I'm glad for that.

A bunch of fruits, some vegetables, all seafood, & cats. That's all I remember for now.

I'm allergic to pollen and soy. Got my soy allergy in college. Now I can't chew gum, drink fruit punch, miso soup or use soy sauce like I used to. 😢

Not EVERYONE is allergic to mosquitos, only about 99.99% of the human population or something like it. I have yet to find one of the blessed people that are not allergic to them, but afaik they exist.

Not really allergic, but ungodly amounts of dust will make my nose itchy.

Pollen and dust make make me sneeze, and my eyes water. My family thinks I might be allergic to mosquito bites. I got a mosquito bite on my hand, and my hand swelled so much that I couldn't make a fist (or even clench it a bit). It's really depressing when you see your knuckles disappearing one by one. Oh, and this didn't happen once, but twice. With the second time, I got a mosquito bit on my leg which swelled up to be five inches in diameter. Another time, I got bitten on my eyelid, and my eye swelled shut. That wasn't fun...

I used to have a ton of allergies but most of them are gone now. (I used to have pretty bad bronchitis asthma but now, i don't need any cough mixture and rarely have breathing problems.) As in: I'd often get something similar to "chemical burns" just from eating or touching certain random things. It still happens but not so often. Chemical burns as in: eyes start to tear, nose starts to water, rashes, trouble breathing, decreased vision, brain starts to go "hazy", decreased hearing, etc., etc.

Also, I do know that pollution(dumping of waste into the sea is affecting quality of fish 'cos they all get contaminated) and that the overall nutritional value of plants and fruits is decreasing(most commercial farms shorten the growth period, so you've gotta eat more sighs). So it may have something to do with the increasing number of allergy sufferers.

I know that taking bee pollen granules(gotta test for allergies to taking this though), taking cod liver oil and increasing vitamin C content tends to help a lot. And that decreasing intake of artificial additives and artificial flavoring also helps to prevent allergies. For cities and places with water pollution, probably water filtering will help to reduce intake of heavy metals which some people theorized might have something to do with allergies too.

I don't take most pharmaceutical drugs 'cos I'm highly resistant to many types of medicine so they don't always work on me. And I've to make sure I don't develop resistances to drugs I might need in the future if I fall critically ill. Plus, the doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong with me and they often refused to give me anything >_< .

Did anyone notice that as of late, there're more and more people with allergies, illnesses and other issues?

I'm not allergic to anything, as far as I know.

Some people have really unlucky allergies;

Flower pollen - How sad, they can't smell flowers.
Cats - I adore cats! I'd be traumatized if I was allergic to them (or to any animal, come to that)!
Sea food - So delicious...
Pineapple - One of my favourite fruits!
Mosquito bites - I live in a tropical country - imagine having that kind of allergy here! 🤢
Dust - It's everywhere; especially in warm, dry countries like mine. A dust allergy would mean I can't walk in the town during daytime at all.
Peanuts - My favourite type of snack!

Too true. I guess pollution is largely to blame for that. And people nowadays seem way less healthy than those back in the olden days. I suppose it's because they're exposed to all kinds of pollution (air, water, sound, food etc., etc.) even before they're born.

Yes, I do. ;____;

First there's a minor one, like, if something is really, really sour then
it makes me sweat a bit. D: Bah, just thinking about it does! ;O;

Actually, this happens mostly when I eat kiwis, no other food.

.> <.< So, let me change that to really, really sour kiwis. o.o

And then there's another one. D: It affects me when I go to warm countries like Morocco. My eyes start to itch and look a bit red-dy. And I have to do my best to keep from itching. >.> <.< They'll make my eye super red and irritated then. @_@ I think my allergy is against the dryness that warm weather causes. Or maybe the warmth. Not quite sure.

Each time I went outside, I HAD TO HAVE my
sunglasses with me. Or else it's unbearable! O_O

Doesn't matter though, because I look cool while being allergic. 😎

So yeah, I pretty much have atypical allergies.

I don't get allergies, but don't worry, I am cursed with terrible sinus infections.
