Yes and no. Yes, because I've seen some ridiculous categories added to the system, so maybe moderating that. And no, because I think it's good that users can submit suggestions for these, having a team of people to moderate categories will probably result in some bias-ness (though I think this would only be a problem for those subjective categories). 'Cause I think only admins are allowed to delete tags, right? And that's only done when categories get few votes or many disagree or whatever?

No. Way too subjective. I find myself disagreeing with more than half of those, and voting does nothing to stop users from making even more redundant-subjective categories. For people that keep saying that these tags are helpful since that means less looking for threads...well I still see lots of those. >_>

No. XD I think I only used it three or four times since they've been added. One reason being that some tags do spoil the whole manga, so even if I search for one category I'd want to know what else the series is tagged as and that's when the spoiling begins. >: Another reason is that some categories are deleted a bit too often or the voting implies a series doesn't fit to said category, so that messes up my search for future references. Some things need to stay constant! D=<

Eh, not really. I think that the voting for categories is good enough. Remove a few of the subjective categories, add a description feature for all of them, and it would be great. =)

Erm, I don't exactly see how this would be neccesary for some categories since the name should be self explanatory. If you have to describe it for people to understand then it's not not a useful category.

-Use sinonims in the category auto fill (If I type "cheating" should apear "Infidelity" etc......)

-Auto fill should search for part of a word, not the begining of it (if I type "war" the autfill should suggest "world war ii " etc........) I know the staff told me it didnt what to stress the DB engine but now that the Category taging boom has pass, this should be posible, and this could help avoiding duplicate tags........ (less work for the staff cleaning our mess 😛 )

-Use this functionality as the base for user based recomendations, where people link series that are similar and people vote in favor or against the recomendation

I don't think them staying is such a bad thing though.

I wish that historical could be split up into Japanese historical, and everything else. I like to read Japanese history based stories but find it sometimes annoying to have to look through the historical section several times before I find it.

Depends on what the tag is; but mostly, no. Tags like that depend largely on personal opinion, not the actual content of the manga.

No. It is somehwat okay at the moment and more moderation should only applied if things get out of hand.

Also, I know atm that 1 category was purged(all entries deleted) even though most of the entries deserve the label. Kinda confusing... and hopefully, it won't happen again in the future 'cos if that continues and on a more widespread scale, it'd defeat the purpose of having categories.

I noticed there are a couple of superfluous categories like bondage, bdsm(which includes bondage anyways) and even more that I can't recall of, at the moment which includes adjectives and whatever. Hmmm... perhaps certain "words" could be locked so that no one can use them.
