Ok, Tatsuki is a regular highschool girl that can see ghosts lately (probably with a hidden power that Aizen will want in the future), and is into Karate.

Ichigo is a highschool boy that is also a vizard and wannabe shinigami that fight evil and is not into Karate.

They might used to be rivals in karate when they were kids, but Ichigo doesn't do that anymore. And they are CHILDHOOD FRIENDS. That's like the father of love stereotypes in manga.

And even if they were rivals, they are still a guy and a girl, we see many times in manga this kind or "rivalry" end in a relationship.

Actually, at the start of the manga, I really thought that Tatsuki was going to end with Ichigo.

their relationship kinda reminds me of the one in shuffle, where you get 3/4's through the series, then bam, childhood athletic friend beats all.

Tatsuki is just a childhood friend. Why not include Yoruichi with the 'love interests' while we're at it? 🤨

And at the end of this arc, not all Espada will die. I bet the top 4 Espada can own the Captains that came to HC.

There is actually one simpler explanation: The mangaka is not very good at writing plots.

So you're saying that Tite had no~ idea at all that he was repeating a scenario? That is impossible, especially if you're the author of a series. You tend to not repeat yourself unless with a purpose. This time it was to emphasize Ichigo's love interests, Inoue and Rukia. ... And no, there aren't any other 'love interests'.

Rukia basically changed his live, and we already knew in the beginning that Inoue was in love with Ichigo.

heh, i can't see them being rivals... perhaps Tatsuki is a "love rival" in the sense that we might see Inoue go all yuri on us and fall in love with Tatsuki.

I think that Tatsuki has been in love with Ichigo since the beginning, and if she hasn't showed it, or made a move, is because of two principal reasons:

1- That is against her character, she is a tough woman. We can't expect that she just express her feeling like an emotional girl.
2- Inoue (her best friend) has been very obvious about her interest in Ichigo. And it would be a kind of treason to "steal" her guy. And let's remember that Inoue was really messed up when Tatsuki befriend her, so she might also pity her.

I remember a scene:

when Inoue discover that Ichigo's mother had died Ichigo was very down, and Tatsuki is surprised that Inoue could tell, because Ichigo tries to hide it, and she tells Inoue that Ichigo never talked about that, but she had discovered that every year in that day he acted a little estrange, and that it was related to ! his mother's dead .

Seriously, like if a person with a really tough character, or every other person actually, could notice a little change in attitude that other person has, notice that this is a regular occurrence and investigate the cause if that person wasn't really interested in the other.

Ichigo's friends never knew, Inoue supposedly discovered it because she loved Ichigo, Could Tatsuki had gone beyond that because she loves Ichigo the most?

Okay, let me put it this way then... You have to agree that Inoue and Rukia are the two female leads, right?

I myself view Rukia and Ichigo's relationship as that of a brother and sister, but there are a lot that would disagree with me. xD And Tatsuki is like 'one of the guys'. @_@

i dont ca rivalry either. i agree with rukia and ichigo being likebrother and siterbut that could change.she was always fond of kaien shiba and hated having 2 kill him. some say that is the only reason she gave ichigo her powers cuz he looked just like kaien. true she loved him but it seems the relationship is going the same way with ichigo only this time hes not married and she has rivals like orihime

.... as much as I am a yuri fan, show me the evidence from manga that Tatsuki's in love with Orihime >.< Aaaand we're getting a bit off the topic.

Aizen will get AIDS and die before Ichigo reaches him, or at least at this rate he will.

The end of this arc will bring no very significant changes to the story thus far (or at least I think so). The only thing that could happen that would make this arc's end important is if the Hougyoku fully awakens and Aizen turns himself in a Vizard. However, that would make him extremely overpowered and I don't see it possible for anyone to beat him at this point. A lot of the Espadas will die, except for the top 4 (since I think those are Vasto Lorde) and maybe Grimmjow. I could see him, not really joining the Shinigami side, but taking a sort of neutral Zaraki type mentality. As in, he really doesn't care what's going on, but he's always looking for a good fight, and looking to become stronger than Ichigo. So, he may live through this.

Other than that, I really don't see anything special happening. Orihime will be rescued. The rest may or may not encounter Aizen, but they will probably make contact with one of the three (I'd put my money on Tousen). They leave, go to SS, get scolded by the old geezer, go back Karakura Town, and train for the upcoming winter showdown. That's pretty much what I see happening.

I'm expecting big things from the next arc. I expect to see some Vizards in some real battles, and some Bankai from the Captains we haven't seen yet.
