I think anyone who have seen that as a child would be scared of clowns for the rest of their lives.

You guys are brave I just don't see the movie anymore, period. The toy clown from Poltergeist did it for me as well. 🤢

Seeing IT when I was 6/7 pretty much secured a life-long fear/hatred of clowns for me plus the number of murderous clowns in films.tv shows doesn't exactly help, lol. Clowns are just freaky! As I've gotten older now I can actually watch scary clowns but still haven't managed to watch IT again, I will one day, lol.
There was an episode of Supernatural with a murderous clown and Sam is afraid of clowns but his brother Dean is afraid of flying.
Dean: You used to get so freak out by clowns you'd run into another room whenevr Ronald McDonald came on TV
Sam: So I'm afraid of clowns? Better than being afraid of flying!
Dean: Hey! Planes crash!
Sam: And apparently clowns kill!
Always makes me chuckle.
The pen is mightier than the sword...and considerably easier to write with.

Why are so many people afraid of clowns? I mean, I understand how they can be scary, but a real life clown never frightened me.
Actually, there was this kid in my high school who got accepted to clown school. No, really. I'm serious 🤣
Anyways, he wants to be a proffessional clown, which makes me happy, since he'd be awesome for it (he's one of those really funny guys who can make people laugh with his actions, not words).

🤣 That made me love Family Guy a whole lot more! Making fun of something that scarred me for life! And the Scary Movie thing did freak me especailly since it was trying to be funny, it just had me closing my eyes...freaky stuff.

🤣 I love that scene!! Especially the last line! It made me feel like I wasn't the only one afraid of Ronald McDonald.

Although the one on the new stop smoking advert looks a bit creepy 🤣
But I guess I never had any bad experiences with clowns when I was little.
