Well, my fine people, I do believe it's time I made another thread. All are welcome to provide their opinion! Men for their facial growth (or other areas if applicable), and ladies for their legs (other areas also applicable), or if you don't shave at all, simply say so.

When you are shaving, how do you prefer to go about the duty? Is the water hot? Cold? Warm? Or do you opt for a caveman-like dry shave?

I, being of the gentlemanly sort, prefer my shaves in comfort. While I may not own a safety or straight razor (yet), I do prefer warm water while shaving with what I am currently stuck with. Cold water shaves have not worked out well for me in the past, even though some of my colleagues swear by them.

Now don't be shy, step up and share your opinion! And as always, a nice little blurb discussing why your preference is what it is would be much appreciated.

Your Dapper-pal in-training,
Kaer

Wah, wah...! I use warm or cold... I dunno which one to pick in da poll.....! ;A;

Well, since I dunno what a "teat" is... I will pick the warm option. :`D

If I use no water at all... my legs start hurting after... because it will feel like I got cut a million times or something... =A=

EDITing my post so that I don't spam...

'teat' refers to 'nipple'(singular), though sometimes it's colloquially used to refer to 'breast'(singular). It's Middle English.

You would know that, huh? Sick bastard.

You are like the dense main character in a shoujo manga.

I prefer using warm water that's not "as hot as the desert" compared to using cold water. When the water is just right it feels more pleasant.

The way I go about it is to use warm water first to wet my face and stubble. Then I strike while the iron is hot I turn the water to basically scalding to clean my razor between swipes, for some reason it just seems to go more smoothly doing it that way. I am 100% with you on the cold water shave, that is impossible but I know some who scoff at the idea of wasting hot water for a shave.

Warm water, though I shave very rarely - once in two weeks or so. My facial hair is not enough to be called a beard, but goats might disagree 😛 . I haven't ever tried cold water or scalding hot water, might try them once it(my beard) decides to grow.

I use an electric razor and usually don't use water.

As a bloke who's never had any trouble growing facial hair, I'd have to say as hot as possible for a smoother shave. It really does make a huge difference.

COOL STORY BRO

In other news, I use warm water to wet my face, then turn it to scalding hot to clean the razor much like Messedmypants does. I find that heating the blades helps to keep the face warm while shaving to get a closer shave. Bafflement is so right.

hot water to make the hair softer, then on with the disposable 5-blade razor and cheap canned cream. That still give me razor bumps though. Have thought about the safety razor, but don't know if I want my 1min shave to turn into into a 10min one. I might start with a brush and shaving cream to see if it helps with bumps, then maybe the safety razor.

Uh just shave my legs in the shower so warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Just however I'm feeling. -shrug-

Waterless with an electric razor. One that rips rather than cuts. Feels manly.

"teat" is still used nowadays to refer to animal nipples 😛 .

I always shave in the shower with warm water; well, my legs that is.
