Nah, it's not bad. ;D People usually don't spell my name right too. xD It's kind of fun, makes you feel superior when you spell it out for them. 😛 It's like they can't spell and need help~ xP

Well, I live in Belgium, but I'm Morrocan(which is an Arabic country in the Northern-West part of Africa), so I have an Arabic name, but spelled in French spelling. ;D Why is that so? Because there was a certain period of time when Morocco was a colony of France. Therefore you can still find some French influence in the Arabic language (and the Western spelling) itself. An example would be that the French and Arab have the same word for the colour black, "Noir".

My name which is pronounced with a "W" is spelled like "Ou", just like the French spell "Oui" which you pronounce "Wi". And people usually write it with a "W" then. >.< Or when people see my name correctly spelled, they then assume that the letter "O" is actually a "Q", and then they pronounce it that way, which bastardizes my name. xP Anyways, enough with the nonsensical explanation. @_@

Edit: And yeah, you confused me with Mams probably. 😛 He's Finnish, I think, btw. >.<

Actually I have to spell or explain my name for just about everyone, since it's a common English word that's not commonly used as a name. 🤢 🤣 It doesn't bother me terribly, but it gets old after a while...just seems like it'll be a lot harder when the name is something that no one would even know how to pronounce by the way it's spelled (or vice versa). It's pronounced something like "SOchyl", sure wish I could remember the exact spelling, but I know it started with "X" and had something like a "ctl" that you just don't see in English.
