Hello!

I'm currently doing lots of research on all types of Eating Disorders, especially, but not only, Anorexia. This includes Binge Eating, Orthorexia, Bulimia, etc. The gender if not important, in other words, if there are boys/men with this illness then it's appreciated as well.

Please don't include such manga where the protagonist is just chubby and wants to lose some weight or a character simply loves to eat a lot. It should be clear that there is a disorder going on. However, it doesn't need to be the main focus of the series.

Thanks a lot!!

Aren't a lot of "eating disorders" caused by being depressed about something or seeking a way to fill a void in your life, with it being no different than other disorders (Like gambling, reading, and exercise disorders) except it deals with your consumption of foods?

Might I suggest using the advance genre search to find manga with at least one release of the Eating Disorder/s category?

"His Favorite" (Aitsu no Daihonmei) is a yaoi series that hints at an eating disorder. Keep in mind this is a comedy, so some situations are unrealistic. Anyway, the character with an eating disorder is Sato; he always gets a disgusted look when he's eating. Basically, he was bullied for being fat so he developed a negative associate with food. (You can see an example of this in Act 9 - from Volume 2). Sato ended up losing weight at a fat camp, but he still has the same reaction when eating. The eating disorder is minor in the story, but I always found it fascinating.
