i don't know if i ever like fighting manga for its fighting.
i read kenichi because some principles mentioned there holds true,
i read evil heart because the fighting is cool, but its a drama manga,
i read samurai champloo, but the anime haz all the fighting coolness, not the manga,
i read kotaro makaritoru (judo-hen and L), but its the character that hook me up, not the fighting. their fight is pretty messed up. (messed up funny, i mean).
i read tetsuwan birdy, but once again, its their character that attracts me,

gunslinger girl has cool battlefield scenes. if you can bear the heavy drama (which i like)
shinobi no kuni has really cool battle setting. else, its just plainly cool.
junketsu no maria also has cool battle scenes. and sometimes its plainly stupid (ahahaha)
shut hell has the perfect balance. sometimes gory.
hoshi no samidare has some epic battle. they are short sometimes, but still epic!
dogs: bullets & carnage has mindless battle scene. full of insane fighters.

grammar mistake is intentional, grammar nazis need their entertainment.

Gamaran, Ippo and All Rounder Meguru are good

imo, that manga has the most overwhelming, over the top explosive battle scenes I've ever seen.

one piece, naruto, bleach, reborn, gintama...

I have yet to see a series that can match Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann in terms of epicness. Can't go wrong with a series in which every single character is gar.
