For the past few pages we have been posting links to name generators and the like, so I thought I'd add this one, too

Spanish and Portuguese form of CHARLES
CHARLES
Gender: Masculine
Usage: English, French
Pronounced: CHAHR-ulz (English), SHARL (French) Key
From the Germanic name Karl, which was derived from a Germanic word which meant "man". However, an alternative theory states that the name is derived from the common Germanic element heri meaning "army, warrior".
The most noteworthy bearer of this name was Charles the Great, commonly known as Charlemagne, a king of the Franks who came to rule over most of Europe. Several Holy Roman Emperors bore this name, as well as kings of England, France, Spain, Portugal, Sweden and Hungary. Other famous bearers include naturalist Charles Darwin who revolutionized biology with his theory of evolution, and novelist Charles Dickens who wrote such works as 'Great Expectations' and 'A Tale of Two Cities'.

My name means different things to different people; most people think it means that I'm going to marry my sister (My parents forgot to read all of the Bible and not just the genealogy in finding me a name...so they named my sister one thing, and then they went off and named me after the guy who (almost) marries the person that she's named after. Whoops!). I've had too many people comment on that to efficiently punch them in the face like I want to when I hear that.
"Hey, you're atheist, so you might not know this, but your name and your sister's--"
"Oh, yeah, I know. You're only the thousandth person to tell me this; you're only the thousandth person gonna be popped in the face for saying this."
I am the God of Freedom. I am not revered, I have no shrines; and you have never before heard of me nor will you ever hear of me again.
