Quote from Manick

I'm interesting in buying it, but as long as it has SecuROM, I will not. I refuse to buy anything with this fascist copy protection.

Well if the root kit thing is true, then I agree that it would be fascist, but there should definitely be a way around such a program.

But anyways,I'd love to play God.

I'm just hoping EA give in before I hit the 3 installations, but we all know how likely that is. They raised ME from 3 to 5 if I remember, they just don't learn.

A friend of mine bought this game so I got to play it extensively at his house the other day. The game doesn't seem too long, after four hours I was at the Civilization stage of the game, which comes before the Space stage, the final stage of the game.

I guess its fun, but after awhile it gets boring. Beginning with the Tribal stage, you lose control of the main creature you played and gain control over the creatures you created.

The point of both the Tribal and Civilization stage is to either ally or destroy/take over other Tribes/Cities.

My friend told me its the same with the Space stage, but on a Galactic scale. Half way through the Civilization stage I already felt a sort of repetitiveness in the game.

It does have great customizable features, such as the ability to make your own creatures, buildings, and vehicles, however, it gets boring later on. The most fun I had was the Cell stage and the Creature stage. The Cell stage is just plain fun, and the Creature stage plays a bit like World of Warcraft (With abilities and a hud to click them on).

My friend is well into the Space stage and said its more fun than the rest of the game. I might try to play it some more, too. Especially considering they said their's over 500,000 planets in the game (including the Earth, somewhere). However, I might just wait and borrow it from my friend when he's done with it (he said I could have an installation, he doesn't plan to ever delete the game, he loves Sim type games).

PC games notoriously are known to drop in price so I'm waiting for that. I'm in no rush to play it.

i downloaded it and im glad i did.

is it addicting? yes.
is it fun? not really.

i really wana find the guy who decided to bet it all on the space age, but that is by far the WORST part of the game. i had more fun at the cell stage than i did at the space age. i dont find it fun doing random boring missions, and having to check back on every colony every 3 minutes because of pirates.... yeah. entertaining.

its kind of a bummer, really cool idea. really really really flawed game.

dont buy it, download it. Will Wright doesnt need a big ego for a barely mediocre game.

Only played DS version. Strange, flat 2D creature roam in 3D world where it befriended /battle against other creature. Not really great game but i like it's body customization (remind me old SNES game which i forgot the title).

Finally got to play this game. I must say it was a disappointment. Each stage was just blah and too similar, none really stood out. I would've liked to each to be more different and give some more depth. Aside from that I liked creating things and watching my creature do it's stuff was fun.
