i use trillian, which is most convenient since you can access to your yahoo, msn, aim, icq, and irc through it....i still have yahoo IM, of course, because i really like its music launchcast plugs-in.....but trillian proves to be the most efficient for me so far 😀

ps: thanks luisalirio84 ....i forgot about that....it just doesn't trike me as something with alot of potential though, since you have to keep your browser on (i think) when all the other IM are programs you can install and stuff.....

Yeah I'll add you when I finish exams. Message boards are enough of a distraction much less im. Well when you have the free time it's good. Speaking of which MU should have a chatroom or something. I hate irc chatrooms people never talk only leech and the ones that talk usually only talk trash. Why are internet chatrooms dead now? 🤣

Um no there's also an offline downloadable one. I have it but don't use it. (noone to talk to cause I don't give out my gmail to friends). 😛

Shoot, I should clarify something...I use Trillian but I ALSO use mIRC for IRC since it's MUCH better than Trillian on IRC.

As for my friends, the mass majority of my school friends use AIM, but I noticed that most of my international friends use MSN...(I live in the USA)

actually, all my canadian friend are with MSN, and all my USA friends are with Yahoo and AIM. I don't like yahoo and AIM's template. but msn's template rock!

Same with me google for talking with the admins of a scanlation site. I don't know google just seems more professional to me and i'd like to keep it that way. I have never used aol but I hear it (Edit: takes out a bad word).

all the email services are so similar these days...the most popular ones have already provided the IM service, too...the only different is probably only between the size of your inbox or the frame of your IM (layout)...as for the look, i would think that window live messenger is the best one, but yahoo got more interesting and cool gadgets (music launchcast plugs-in, which i love to use because if i ever hit an awesome song from the radio, then i can dive into a channel in mIRC and download immediatly)...apparently aim is the most popular so far, though....i think it's because they're more people using the aol internet service than yahoo dsl or verizon, so they're automatically receive an aol email account, which leads up to aim....as for google, unless they're gonna produce a seperate IM program to install into your computer, i don't think chatting through your email account is pretty convenient...

ps: @luisalirio84 ....forget what i said about the gmail thing then 😀 ...i think i'm gonna go browse where to download it now 😛

Like I said before there is a program that you install on your computer to chat with your gmail contacts. it's called google talk.

I use Google talk, and it's all I've used for a couple years at least.

Before that I used Trillian and before that it was AIM.
