I always found it really annoying to have people talking to me when I was trying to work/research something, so I never really liked IM-ing. I will use IRC and chat there every now and again, to wste time while downloading, but I only use my gmail account to chat with friends from college.

always used to use trillian... but then there was a problem with my friends being "orphaned"....

dunno. it just made it so that they never appeared online to me. so... after a while, i got fed up with that... and now I'm using gaim.

Gaim is called Pidgin now. But ya, I've been using Gaim for some time. (Haven't actually switched to newer Pidgin version yet, waiting for the final release to come out, which should be out any day now.) I just can't stand not being on everything at once. But every once in awhile I switch to MSN for voicechat or something of that sort.

You know though, I find myself on Ventrilo a lot lately~ even though thats not really an instant messager. Of course, IRC isn't anything close to an instant messager either.

i like my MSN, ichat/aim, skype 🙂
although skype and ichat/aim i use like twice a month to talk to the people overseas.. but everyone uses MSN or atleasts goes on their hotmail email so..msn is easier😉
