The ending

I actually liked the end. I'm fine with her being with Ryoki for a few reasons. For one, Shinogu will always be her brother even if it's not biological. She spent all her life thinking that he is her brother. You just can one day up and go "I'm in love with my brother". And for Azusa, I don't really think they're in love with each other. It might have been thought first crush stuff. And i think Azusa even talked about being just friends with her.
IAWTC. Seriously, guys, Shinogu is her brother - yes, he may be adopted, and yes, he may not see her as his sister, but she's lived with him as her brother ever since she was a little girl. How could she just "get over the issue"? We're not talking about a one-time event (like being pushed down the stairs) here; this is something she's believed in for years. You don't suddenly see someone differently just because they tell you they think otherwise.
Azusa lost all possibility of being a good match after what he did in the series.
Ryoki may be a jerk, but at least he cared. Of course he had a bad way of showing it, but at least Hatsumi can see him as a GUY (and potential love interest). And besides, it's not like her personality was so great that she deserved the best guy in the universe. They liked each other. End of story.
...Not to say that I really liked Ryoki, either, but people would whine and complain if there wasn't any romance, and unfortunately, he was the best choice. Compared to a gang-rapist out for revenge and her brother, that is.

yea i do agree that hatsumi doesnt make sense and how she could take it
it felt like it was going in circles that she couldnt make up her mind, and it was pretty sad that ryoki and hatsumi didnt change throughout the series... im still thinking how she could fall for that guy, but like the manga said love can come from different forms...
also i didnt like how it ended for the rest of the characters, like im fine with her ending with the guy she likes but everyone else ending was depressing
on another note if it wasnt for the great artwork i would have dropped it for the second time 😐

Well, I liked the end because she liked Ryoki and he liked her, it's was a pretty strange and possessive love ( sometime it was cute xD) but it was his way to show his love for her... And Shinogu becoming a priest was pretty hard for me to accept...Because he's too cute and lovely to end like that >< I really hoped to appear someone for him to love in the end...Or try to search a new love and at same time i thing it was cute to think like "I'll only love you and anybody else"...Whatever, I liked the end and want to everyone to be happy xD (childish way to think xP)
Let's try xD

The ending would've (key word: would've) been good if everything before it was better. Because if you think about it, everything goes back to how it was in the beginning, which makes the story feel complete. I just wished they took out the excessive drama with the affair. Included more on the hierarchy of the apartment complex. Expand on Ryoki's character and make him develop. And finally work on the family aspect, since both Ryoki and Hatsumi have family problems. Hatsumi's brother would've also had a better ending, if they made FAMILY an important theme.

I absolutely hated the ending. God, she is sooo annoying. >:-(
(I was hoping the entire series she would juts turn around and confess her profound love for Shinogu, heheh, he was just the best 😃 Too bad he turned out to be a FRIGGEN MONK.)

lolwut?
The way I see it, he was a selfish piece of turd that only cared about himself. It was ALWAYS about him. Take the hotel scene for example, when she was talking about the affair (Vol 11, if I'm not mistaken)
He got angry, and left her there?

SUCKED big time. Ryoki started out as an ass and will always be an ass. My completion of the manga led me to one thing.
NO CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT.
I can never understand why the girl doesn't pick the nice guy, but in Hatsumi's case, I honestly think she's just stupid.

It was a terrible, exploitative story. I am a man and had read little shoujo til I stumbled on this one. I was OK with the awfulness of the main character marrying a cruel bastard. It was just a story after all. Then I read many, many comments by women and girls saying what a great couple those two made, etc. And then there was this common line:
"Sure [the guy she chose] was kind of moody, but he was so sweet sometime, and you could see from the way he acted that he loved her more than anything!"
This was the first time I saw the ugly truth about why and how women like "bad boys". Apparently, lots don't just like boys who are bad, but boys who are bad to THEM. Why is this? Only women know. Whatever the reason, it makes me sad. I always get sad when I see people being majorly irrational in ways that are very likely to cause them great sorrow.
If the story of this manga actually happened, then the stupid woman who chose a man like that would be hiding in a battered women's center within 10 years, guaranteed.
Apparently, women can be just as stupid about men as men can about women, but in different ways. This story taps that stupidity.
Luckily, I've seen some evidence that as women age into their late 20s and beyond they forget to love being mistreated.
