Moving onto the trailer...WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT? Why do American film companies always have to americanize foreign stories? They didn't even need to americanize this! IT'S FUCKING DRAGONBALL!

And what is with the actor selection? I know that the races for most characters weren't really revealed, by why is Goku white while everyone else (except piccolo) is asian? It looks like it's going to be another action movie where all the minorities are talented enough to beat the villain, but instead of doing that, they rely on a white boy, who has had no training whatsoever, to defeat the villain because "The prophecy told us that he is destined to do it".

It looks really bad. It doesnt seem overdone enough to be funny, but not true enough to the story to be good.

From someone who knows the true source, this is a big dissappointment though. Oh well, I didn't had any expectations

Not to be a witch, but they could find Asians to play most all the pivotal roles EXCEPT that of Goku!? Now that I'm looking at the trailer again, WHO THE HELL IS MAI? There was no Mai in Dragonball! Or Z! Or GT! Why the hell are they adding characters now?

And I don't get why people on here are STILL going to spend their money on this movie even though they bash the trailer. The trailer of a movie is supposed to make you want to look forward to watching it! It's supposed to show you little tidbits of the movie that don't reveal much of the plot, but still look exciting enough to grab your attention! Since it's obviously not doing that for anybody, then there's no reason to pay for it at all.

If I ever see this movie, it's not going to be at the theater. It'll either be at a friend's house, or on my computer. WITHOUT PAYING A CENT FOR IT EITHER WAY.

well, i think "mai" is that long haired spy, from the pilaf series.... i guess movies wouldnt usually add characters like that like animes, but i think they can change around the significant role of a character?

yes it will be... series like dragonball, naruto, bleach, and all those shounen mangas can only be displayed animated, NOT acted out.... though i think american media of the MARVEL pictures, is doing a great job.... lets just pray to the gods, they wont EVER touch bleach, naruto, berserk, or even the final fantasy series.. it would be a cold day in hell for that to happen....

yea, kinda like how they just randomly inserted this random white kid in the new jet li/jackie chan movie... i think asian movies should stick with asian leading roles, and american movies should stick with american leading roles.... because it kinda ruins the actually feeling u get from the original story.... look how they f***ed up on "forbidden kingdom", the movie would have been at least 10 times better in terms of income if they didnt have that white kid squeezed into the filming story...

but yea, my point is, even if they DID use a white guy for the role, they should have at least choice someone better fitting,, i was hoping for someone younger considering the fact goku started at 14 years of age and up, and less serious looking,,, thought goku was suppose to look dumbfounded or spezed out, lol...
