You can't really classify these things as one gender being better than the other.

You say there are better male comedians than female, well that's probably because there are more male comedians than females in general. It's harder for the females to break into such a male dominated job so to speak. That's pretty much the issue in most jobs these days.

Well I was to a point. I'll explain how I got the "brilliant" idea to make this thread.
After finishing an experiment in school I went for drinks with my work group since I just quit the school and this was the last time I would work with them.
After a few drinks I brought up the topic of women not being funny and the article by Hitchens.
Of course we had a lots of fun with it and that's where I got those comments by the choice, I think.
When I got home by 11:30 (they still needed to go to class the next morning) I got the brilliant Idea to make this thread.
Now I think that what I did was pretty embarrasing, though I do stand by that opinion. I just think I could have worded it better and a bit more elegant, so to say. And those comments by the choices is not something I would have done if I was trying to provoke a real discussion.

On a note about universal funniness, I got Plato on my side for that.
