Smiling~ :)
(:
Are you a person that smiles a lot or do you shy away from it? Does smiling make you feel better when you're sad? Have you ever tried making someone smile to make them feel better?
Do you think that smiles give a good impression on other people? Do you advise smiling to other people, so that the world (or at least your environment) can be a better place?
Or are they just covers to hide your sadness/maliciousness behind them?
Bottom line; smile, MU! 😛

Hm. Smiling is weird for me. It feels unnatural to do it. But all the same, I am pretty good at fake smiles.
I don't do the cheering up thing for people. But I've found for some reason if I am walking down the street, and I see someone that looks put off or something, or if I see a little kid, I'll smile at them. Its like a natural instinct.

Well, I don't really smile...it's more like a dumb grin...and I do laugh a lot.
It's not really all that hard to make me smile/laugh...but I'm also not one of those people that laugh at practically anything...
I often try to cheer up people by making them laugh, even though I know there are some things you can't just laugh of ...(actually if that doesn't work and alcohol already failed, I got nothing).
There are some friends in whose company I have a hard time not to laugh...and that helps when I'm feeling down.
I generally don't smile if I don't feel like it, well except if I'm working, in a unpleasant situation that can be avoided with a false smile...or I need to suck up to a professor...

I smile more often than not. I laugh at anything, you can always catch me with a smile on my face. Smiling when I feel sad doesn't always make me feel better, worst actually. I always try to make my friends smile when they're down or having problems, it always cheers them up too. 🙂
Do you think that smiles give a good impression on other people? Do you advise smiling to other people, so that the world (or at least your environment) can be a better place?
Smiling doesn't always leave a good impression on others, not me anyway. Advising people to smile to make the world a better place would not work, appearances lie.
Or are they just covers to hide your sadness/maliciousness behind them?
I often smile to hide my sadness. I can always tell when my friends are unhappy or feeling bad, but when I smile they can never tell the difference between a natural smile and a fake one. That kinda gets me down at times...

All the time. I think I even smile in my sleep. I am an extremely happy person. And just bout anything can get a smile out of me. Especially really goofy things (like thinking about someone in calculus 🤣 ).
And I really like making other people smile as well. So I've done some really stupid things... said some really stupid things... made some really stupid faces...
If it weren't for the gutter, my mind would be homeless.
I was asked to leave a job because I didn't smile. It wasn't even the sort of job where you're face-to-face with customers. All I did was sort the mail and some excel spreadsheets. I had to do about three peoples work loads.
The girl who had the job before me burst into tears on the first day, went home for lunch and they never heard from her again. Yet they complain when I don't smile?! >:-(
Lose - Opposite of win, to misplace something/someone. e.g. To lose your way, to lose a fight.
Loose - Opposite of tight. e.g. To have a loose screw, to loosen a jar lid.

lol, poor you, Perim.
I prefer to smile than to show others that you're sad.If they see that they'll keep bugging you about what's wrong.Don't like that.
I laugh a lot, smile a lot, not to cover anything , just 'cause I'm having fun.People told me I look dangerous to others though. It's because they don't see me when I'm with friends.^^.
I guess I do make others smile a lot, since they think I'm funny sometimes, and because me and a friend always do stupid things.
Smile, people, smile!It's healthy!
Edit: Lol, well dr., were you bored again? ^^.lots of new topics started by you 😛

I smile a lot.
Never actually kept track of it~
This serves many purposes to me.
One of them is a reflex to nervousness, or idiotic things/people...
I once smiled straight through an 1.5h and my faced ached afterwards...
I take more out of laughing. Smiling is more like a reflex to everything... ~
Sorry for my blurry post, I'm sick and tired~~
Hrodulf and Bjornolfr, you will not be forgotten.

I don't smile much and have often been mistakenly judged as "unpleasant" when it comes to first impressions. It's more a nervous/shy reaction.
A couple of my best friends have told me that "I thought you looked like a bitch, so I avoided you." It's not really intentional, and it's not like I'm depress or angry. I just tend to be more comfortable around people I know.
I smile at people if they look at me for a long time.
If they turn their heads away when I glare back, then
I won't.
Sure. I smile when its expected 🤣
I won't go around smiling. I'll smile when I recognise someone and make eye contact and they smile at me.
If i'm happy i'll have a sorta grin on my face, and when I laugh...well, i laugh 🤣 My friends always make me laugh, so I smile a lot more than what I used to 🙂
Also I have to smile in my job. Serving customers in mcdonalds requires a lot of fake smiles...bleh 🤢

I smile without teeth, and it's just as nice or even nicer than with teeth ^^ Just like StarlightDreams, people say they really like my smile, makes them warm and fussy or something 🤨
Though I tend to put on a fake-ish smile most of the time, kinda dulled my emotions.. But no one can tell the difference at least. If it makes them happy when I smile, that's fine. At least one of us is happy ^^
Smiling too much and too long really hurts though 😐
This life sucked. Where's the reset button?
