Quote from Layhe

I'm not sure whether this question was asked or not, but I won't be able to go through 40 pages of this topic O.o

Anyway, dear men, I have a question for you: When a girl is in a bad mood, why do you usually say 'it's that time of the month'? If a girl is in a bitchy mood, you say the same. If a girl acts all emotional, you ask, is it that time of the month? Why you, usually, blame it on 'that time of the month'? And, why can't you just say 'period'? And why do you usually freak out when girls start to talk about their periods? I mean, blood is a part of our life yaddah faddah.

Okay, it's loads of questions now that I see it. But still, answer would be appreciated. Or a link to previous answer, it the question was already asked.

I'm probably getting myself in trouble but I'll say what I think:

Let's say the girl got herself in a car accident, and she is in a bad mood. She has a good reason for being in a bad mood, and she won't get the commentary "It's that time of the month".

Now let's say that a close friend died and she is all emotional, that makes sense, she has a reason to be feeling that way.

Now, let's say that she is just in a bad mood, for no reason, or bitchy, or emotional, or she has a change between these 3 in a small interval of time. A guy asks himself why?

If there is not an external influence, why that change in personality?

I can only imagine 3 reasons:

1- Hormonal problems (It's that time of the month)
2- Drugs (Danger)
3- Psychological problems (She is crazy, stay away)

The first option is the most probable in most cases and the nicer for the girl, actually.

Guys don't like to talk about "periods" because they are bodily excretions and we suppose that is private, or should be.

Here is an example of a conversation.

Guy - OMG! yesterday I ate 4 freaking hamburgers, I don't know why, I was just really hungry. But, as you can imagine, I was really full afterwards, and like 4 hours later, I went to the bathroom and I made a dump soooooo big, I mean, I was expecting several small ones, but this one was one huge motha f****. I tried to flush the thing away, but it was just too big, so I had to decide between put it in a bag, or cut it into pieces.......

Girl - ...............eewwwwww!!!!

Poo is also part of life, everyone does it, it is also a bodily excretion, but we don't talk about that......it's private, and is better that way.

Edit: I forgot another reason.

4- Manipulation. Trying to make a guy do something without asking, usually with evil intentions.

I'm female and I hate it-it's probably the prude in me or something.

1- Hormonal problems (It's that time of the month)

Don't you remember the bio lesson on this? Girl's hormones start going wonky long before they actually hit their period-so some are moody before it (hence pre-ms, some during, and some after-and some girls are completely off all the time. Sleep, eating habits, and plain old life stressers affect my moods way more then hormones, and I figure lots of girls are no different-and plenty use hormones as the easy excuse.

Manipulation. Trying to make a guy do something without asking, usually with evil intentions.

Crying and flirting work so much better, and don't have the tmi factor.

I really don't want to go through all the trouble of reading the whole topic to see if my question was asked, but if it has you can curse me to hell. Why can a girl ditch a guy without reason yet if a guy does whatever the reason he gets in crap?

To be honest, I've never seen anyone break up without a reason, be the breaking person a girl or a boy. But maybe it's just me and my friends. There is always a reason, it's just that not everyone wants to state it.

I think he means that a girl can ditch a guy while being vague about it, but when a guy ditches a girl, it doesn't matter what reason he has, it's never enough for the girl. That's what I think he was trying to say, but whatev~ xD

i agree 😃
Guys have a stereotipeazed (dunno if the term even exists, but well...) view of girls and viceversa. It´s like just by being a guy or a girl you do certain things, and that... well, better to be neither, just asexual.

rinoa_cooly:
Well I like type of guys who are weird and funny but not really too pushy...
Hmm...I don't like guys who just lie to make you like them or
ask you out by txting, using a friend, or etc... I wouldn't really care if they weren't perfect, just nice and can have fun with you.(also a little sensitive and cute) For the looks I kind of like guys with good hair...>.>...not those all muscluar guys and act all tough...xD

weird, funny, not pushy(kinda shy too be pushy),I have a bad habit of telling the truth(brutally honest most of the time, if she's crying I might lie to make her feel better, but I don't lie just because the effort of trying to remember and keep the lie seeming true is a nusience),definitly not perfect, I'm nice(though I'm brutally honest, I shut up), I can't stand not doing anything, so I guess have fun with you, cute and good hair, maybe, up to whoever's looking, almost no muscles and not tough at all, though the sensitive thing I'm unsure about, you pretty much described me, lol 😁 too bad for you I don't date over the internet 🤣 (just thought I should brag, since someposted that I'm 90% their ideal guy 😀 , that and I had a sudden urge to overdo the smiley faces 😎 )

Quote from rinoa_cooly
Okay, here is a general question first:
What type of girl/boy do you like? (by personality and/or physical body)

Then 2nd:
If the guy you are dating if kinda the quiet and shy type, is there a way to get him talking or to even get him to hold your hand, kiss, etc.? (without being too annoying or too obvious)

The type of girl I like is one that isn't obnoxious, alchoholic, crazy, controlling, overly jealous,or too afraid to make any gesture whatsoever[just reach your hand out if you want to hold hands, or ask] she's gotta be cute; I like the athletic kind of body[not like steroid muscular, but toned], but it's not a must; and I like a girl I can just laugh and be myself around, I also like daredevil girls that can do stuff like bluff jumping with me.

no way you can get a shy, quiet guy to hold hand, kiss, ect. 😉 [wink for the ect.] without being obvious, obvious is the only way to go. but don't force him to, that's annoying. try to do it while walking or something, just reach out, put your palm out, and graze his hand with the back of yours, keep it there, he should get the hint, if he doesn't then make sure he wears a helmet whenever you go anywhere[no offense to those reading while wearing helmets]

wow I rambled, maybe I don't shut up....hmmmm
