Most likely thing to happen is rain village showing up. However, I suspect that naruto will be able to finish off the two pains by himself(well maybe with the nine-tails)

Another thing is, how strong can that pein guy get? He took out Kakashi and Jiraya(though I think they might be both alive somehow, since we didn't actually see Jiraiya's dead body or the funeral, and kakashi might also be alive and the reason naruto couldn't sense him was because kakashi's chakra was severely depleted).
How far must naruto go in order to finally defeat the akatsuki? Does the mangaka actually plans on him controlling all of the nine-tails? If he does, wouldn't madara be able to take control of naruto in his tailed form?

With that said, I hope the series doesn't span to over 500 chapters. The mangaka seriously needs to come up with the closure and stop introducing more characters. Working on the new manga would be better.

Well a certain thing is that now Naruto hasnt any more sage chakra left. So, if he wants to finish the job, he'll be forced to draw forth the power of the kyuubi, no lies here.
Lets see what will happen then, cause i dont see any unexpected character to come out and help him.

Absorbing Pein strengthens his hold on Naruto and comes to steal his chakra

Naruto: ...!

Fukasaku: Persevere Naruto-chan!

Naruto: (Hmm... I get it... then... it works out well that I can't move.)

He closes his eyes, chakra gets sucked up~ and when Naruto doesn't move, Absorbing Pein's face starts to become frog-like

Nagato: !?

Naruto: Natural Energy (chakra) is difficult to handle!

Absorbing Pein's leg and face become a frog.

Nagato: This...

Fukasaku observes this (I see! That Pein was absorbing too much of Naruto-chan's Senjutsu chakra and had turned into the [frog-stone]!)

Naruto tries to break loose
Nagato:!

Scene change
Ino: Shikamaru!

Ino, Ino's dad, Anbu and an Anbu carrying Shizune arrive to shikamaru
Shiho:!?

Shikamaru: ! Ino - you were all right?

He tries to punch Nagato, but Nagato swings the sword that stabbed Fukasaku, Fukasaku is thrown off the sword and towards Naruto

Nagato raises his left hand, does his drawing-objects-toward-him jutsu

When Naruto's movements stop, Nagato grabs Naruto's neck. Naruto drops Fukasaku. Nagato slams Naruto to the ground.
Naruto: Gua!

When slamming him down, Nagato stabs Naruto's left hand with his sword. The rinnegan appears 'behind' Naruto (we have seen this a couple times before - Jiraiya, Kakashi)
Nagato: will you settle down a bit now, Kyuubi?
Naruto: Ggg..

Fukasaku is down. Shima is crying.
Naruto: What the hell are you!!? What the hell do you want!!? Why do you do this!!?
Nagato: Why... Everything happens all of a sudden. The reasons you realize after the events have passed. I see... let's chat a bit...

Scene to Shikamaru

Shikamaru: Gather information via Katsuyu from all the people that have come in contact with Pein. Those that have passed away may have also left some information. We'll carry out dead bodies if we have to!
Ino dad: ...! (carrying a dead body) wait... i see - I think I (am beginning to) understand!

Shizune's death is a huge warning sign that Tsunade won't be a Hokage anymore, either through death or resignation (guilt/not worthy of being Hokage).

I doubt it. Tsunade's, IMHO, has dealt with much more **** than Sasuke has. Both her lover and kid brother died. Jiraiya is dead. The Sandaime Hokage is dead at the hands of her old team mate (and assuming another Team 7 parallel, someone she liked). She's overcome (presumably) her fear of blood. I'm confident that Tsunade as the appointed and respected leader of a military organization like Konoha would resign over something like that. Depressed maybe, since someone close to her died. But not into the great emo state that Sasuke has gone to. Also take into consideration just what she accomplished. It's only because of her that people are still alive in Konoha.

Just found out that the Pain you, me and Doc have been talking about is Yahiko, not Nagato. Nagato is the one that's controlling all of those Pain bodies.

But you're right about the height thing. Yahiko (Or Deva Pain or whatever you wanna call him) is around 5'9".

Maybe Tsunade's gotten so used to people that she cares for dying around her so much that she's become unfazed by it, and just acts all lifeless.

That's wishful thinking, but I think she's dead because she was one of those characters that was probably planned to only have a few uses in the story (Like deciphering what Pain's piercings do) and wasn't really needed for the plots after that.
