No, i like anime to stay true to the manga.
I meant in Hunter x Hunter's case, I found the character voices to be much better in the old version. The boy scout music in the new anime got on my nerves. Finally the decision to not show blood in the remake made some scenes look bad (wonder how that will turn out for future arcs). Overall I find the old Hunter x Hunter anime to be much better than the 20 episodes i watched so far from the remake.

okay, watched part 1 as the blu-ray came out a while back and has been subbed by THORA., i think.
now we have to wait for part 2 until next year.
but then, the live action movie is coming up sooner, in august in theaters, and would be accompanied by a blu-ray.
hopefully before, december 21, 2012. 😕 🤢 ... 🤣
now only if i knew that they already made some plans for jinchuu reanimation - albeit in a better way. but looking at how things are going, i guess the studio - would look at the sales and statistics - of the 2 part OVA series and also the ratings and reviews of the Live Action movie.
b..b...but then, it will be past 2012, and unless, nothing happens, 🤨 , it seems jinchuu will be left to be enjoyed only in the manga. jinchuu arc is quite long, so as to say. it's 11 volumes long, which is to say, that it needs around 35 episodes without fillers to be justified,.
just give me jinchuu reanimation and a rurouni kenshin ps3 game as a follow-up. i will obtain nirvana. 😛

I was so disappointed by the new OVA. It was such a wasted opportunity to animate the Jinchuu Arc. Why did we need a retread of the Kyoto Arc, which was beautifully and faithfully animated in the old anime? Not only that, but the new OVA completely changed the story, stripping out all the most important elements. In Kenshin's battle with Chou, we never get that climactic moment, where he believes he's done the unthinkable; it's just another sword fight in this version.
I'm really hoping for better results in the live action film.
A sword is a weapon. Swordsmanship is a way to kill. Whatever nice names you call it by, that is its true nature.

he he. this kinda turned a lots of fans down, but others would say that i am happy to see kenshin in a new feel, no matter how out of place the ova was.
kenshin getting the sakabatou, = totally changed. originally, it was without the knowledge that he used it as a regular katana and risked reverting to the hitokiri battousai. 😲 those eyes were legendary, when he gave Ryu Tsui Sen – Tsumuji.
in the ova – meh. he sees the blade, realized its a sakabato, then hits chou. 😔
usui – death at the hands of saitoh – changed. wow. another downer.
in this ova, he dies at the hands of shishio, during a sparring session gone wrong. shishio stabs him through and thorough. then burns his face with his hot hands. 😛
WAAAAAAAAHHHH i am going to deliver my tenchuu – if they dont animate jinchuu after this. ^__^x 😁

I think Studio Deen and Sony Studios need to realize they are short changing fans the world over and give us the Revenge Arc. It's the core and resolution of the entire RK saga and the story is woefully incomplete without it.

I was fine with the anime until I forgt which episode I was at, but then I tried the OVA For Remembrance, and sadly, I got bored. 😢 😢 😢
"'The lives I've taken will be paid for with my own life.' That's one way to look at it...but it doesn't mean they come back once you die. Lives can also be paid for by the sword; by redeeming yet other lives. That is why 'Hitokiri Battousai' is still alive in the Meiji Era."
