Besides, being smart at school does not mean being smart at life. You can take the highest classes, and still have zero insight. They just work their asses off, or have a better work ethic than lazy 'geniuses'.

Also first define 'smart', even a bimbo can be smart, since they know like everything there needs to be known about fashion. -_- You got to have a brain for that too.

I guess you can be smart in different ways? =D And the most accepted definition of smart is using your brain to actually think instead of picking which outfit to wear. Though we should not look down on that, because that is also a tedious and difficult process that should not be underestimated. 😛 ... I wish I had a stylist. ;-;

lol you have a point about the different styles of intelligence but I would suppose that this is about overall general knowledge and how you rank in that category.

as for me i rank above most people i scored a 2360 (or something i can never remember the last 2 numbers i think it was higher) on the SAT lol in highschool
although in the actual school i get A's without doing any of the homework yay test only classes anyways but even though these prove my intelligence over mathematics, reading, writing, and actually writing essays this doesn't necessarily mean im good in the health or science department (reading my mothers medical books at the age of 5 does)

and also intelligence on how to live by myself i have no experience after all im a highschool kid so rather intelligence could be defined by the amount of experience you have within that subject right?

I agree with Dr. Love. Your "intelligence" isn't ranked by grades.

For example, this one girl at school gets good grades, but she's incredibly stupid and ignorant OUTSIDE of school. She loves to brag about her grades, and think people are impressed... but honestly, no one gives a fuck. THOSE are the type of people I hate. She used to be nice to me but one day I corrected her on Sony being Japanese, NOT American, and she said to me "You think you know everything." Um, sorry for correcting your ignorance? -_-;

There have been lots of stupid cases when she turns into a bitch, one including me not giving up my seat because she wanted to sit beside the friend I was sitting beside so she started going "omg you're such a loser no one likes you" and making THE STUPIDEST JOKES ever, so I told her to fuck off and that she wasn't funny because I'm not going to take any shit from her, so she got super defensive thinking she was "funny". Which she's not. No one thinks she is. -_-;

Then the next week she tries to pretend nothing happened, and ever since the last incident, I stopped ignoring her when she said hi to me in the hallways. Sorry, might be a bitchy on my side, but I have limits to how much I can take of a person. 😐 And frankly, this girl's not smart at all. And on the hilarious side, she makes fun of this guy who thinks he's the smartest guy around. Hypocrite much? At least HE'S gifted. 🤣

Meh. I get good grades, but I'm reaaaallyyy not that smart... I learned, in French, from some kid who's like, 1-2 years younger than I, on how Binary works... It was rather depressing... But it makes perfect sense. 😃

I had a friend at school, that got perfect marks in like, everything.
But as a person.. She was kindda... I don't know... Lacking maybe..

My grades weren't perfect simlpely because I didn't like most of the stuff we studied...
Apart from grades, I can honestly say that as a person, or as Dr. Love
said, "life smart", I'm smart.. (judging from life exp' 🤣 )

And Dr. Love, do you really think that by letting people state how smart they are, it wouldn't sound like bragging?^^
Even by not being arrogant, every compliment you might give to yourself about your personality might sound really arrogant. (That't exactly why I don't praise and start counting my good point in public, when asked)

Hummm I dunno but I got straight As at school though. Ppl say I'm smart but I'm not as smart as they think. I just try my best to get what I want so u can say I'm a little smart. 🙂

I'm in all AP courses. Meaning of course that I can retain information and then spit it back out, not that I'm particularly gifted in the intellectual category.

Edit: Looking back at the previous posts, I have to agree that "smart" is a subjectively defined and subjectively valued trait. Therefore nobody really cares what intellectual capacity you have; all that matters is what you do with it.

Example. I am a certified genius, and yet I never do anything. So my relative worth is far less than how "smart" I am.
