Well I don't really know what determines a crush but for me they only really last for a 1 or 2 days maximum. If I ever find someone very interesting or just generally someone I want to know better. I will most likely forget it when I get home and reality overwhelms me with all the work deadlines and exam times and payments I have to make. So the chances of a friend of mine having a crush on the same person I have is very low, and the chances of me caring are alot lower. . Being realistic is a bitch I wish I was capable of trying to aim higher than I allow myself to for once, I guess its what you do when you do alot of science and maths. You become a very logical person.

Forgive me for saying this, but what you're saying is bullshit =P

I'm a male(as you can see from my previous post and my username) Computer Science student so by your reasoning I should be a very logical person, which I am indeed. However that doesnt change the fact that when I care about someone I care, and I can say the same about a ton of my classmates(I'm not a native english speaker so the word for student from the same course at uni eludes me), the ones that don't seem to care about girls are that way simply because they have low self-esteem and don't believe that they can get a girl to like them(which is also bullshit) so they simply give up.

My point is, you may feel that way because you don't have the time, but if you find a girl that you fancy a lot and you don't delude yourself into thinking you do not you'll either find the time or berate yourself for not having the time.

I agree with you. I've also had similar experiences, myself (though I'm girl but anyway) and my friends (males and females).

Also, my friend has dated my crush. A friend has stole my boyfriend. And so on. You'd think we forget when time passes by, but that's not always the case. 😀

Girls tend to be more interested in romance generally I guess.

I'd say that guys would go and take the girl they
have a crush on before any other d00d gets in the
way.

Although, in a community like this,
while I am doing the former, the rest of
the guys are prolly weeping how ronery
they are and doing chemistry/physics/math
homework. :,D

Self confidence is worth more than the looks, and it doesn't hurt to be a smooth talker

Well I'm a sucker for cute and nice boys, so I get a crush TO easy... (latest, Happend just a day ago.)
So if someone of my friends would start dating one of them I would at first be mad but after a week I will be okay with it.

hm yeah one time.even though I must say it wasn't a crush,but I really was in love with my best female friend.when my best male friend then told me that they were going out I was really about to kill him because he knew my feelings well.though I already was quite sure what was going on,him saying so gave the last push to freaking out.
it was a couple of years ago and even today I'm not sure how I made it,I'm extremele happy about it, but I could go outside the bar and cool my head before exploding.
I didn't notice at that time but he told me later that my eyes turned black and I started shaking.scared the hell of a crap out of him 😀

Going a little far back here, but in grade 8 I had a crush on a girl and my friend had a crush on another girl. We didn't have the guts to ask them out to the graduation dance, but instead I asked a different girl out and my friend asked a different girl out.

Turns out, both of us dated each other's crushes (but we only talked about it like two years after the fact)

She was about to and i snapped on her, but it was my fault too..i told her i gave up on him but then she comes and tells me she has his facebook account and she told she likes him andwas about to ask him out...that's when i snapped. before that day i had given up on him as soon as i heard his name from her, i'm like "WHAT 😕 ? >:-( "
