haha, he probably will get a power up. This is somewhat following the same formula as Water 7/Enies Lobby. They meet what appears to be an unbeatable enemy until they find a strong and powerful reason to get stronger, in this case it's probably something along the lines of surviving out in the new world or saving Ace and preventing a full blown pirate war, and then using that as motivation to go beyond their limits.

somewhat predictable, yes, but honestly, i don't care. its like this with all shonens and One Piece is no exception. Aside from that, I hope that what's about to come is able to suprass the Enies Lobby Arc cause that was the most epic thing ever and it would be rather hard to trump...but i keep seeing this image of the crew saving Ace from Impel Town or having to prevent his execution.

Honestly, this is probobly the direction Oda will go towards. Why else would he give hints of a Pirate War and Ace's execution around this time. Yes, the cog of fate is in motion and we may get to see some of the most epic fights ever!

By the way, did i mention that seeing all the Straw Hats fighting in unison is really awesome? I know what they can do apart, but seeing them fight against a single person is really amazing. Sequences are fun and action packed.

ya i remember the 2 fruit going Boom part... i was just thinking.. hum i wonder If Luffy of all people would try it even knowing the facts just to get stronger and protect his friends u know...

also seems like pretty much any higher up marine they will fight in the future will have hard ass body armor skills(ex vegapunk guard and kuma), or skilled Attacking skill(ex the freaken wired face looking Admiral with Light power something like that) oh and dont forget our Ice Admiral, and unknown Pirates to come...

so ya im pretty exited and interested to see what the upcoming chapters will do about getting the crew stronger.

they got their a** handed down on them (pardon my french) It was expected that luffy would not be a match on aokiji but WTF he could not handle a pacifista alone and a sumo kind of guy (the impression I got from luffy was that his only loss would have been on aokiji oh well) this sucks I hope they do get stronger if their enemies in the new world are those monsters
