Back on topic. I see a plot hole: in the prior chapter the 8 tails calls Kyuubi just that, the 9tails, and says "You were always [arrogant] thats why the 1-tails always hated you."

Even the tailed beasts havent bothered to learn each others' names..

It's less of a plothole and probably more of a "Kishimoto just made them up recently".

Good point, and it was the Hachibi, who was supposedly 'good.' Also, we never saw Bee refer to his bijuu pal by his 'name.' Well, hopefully this embarrassment will be over soon when the series finishes.

By the way, in Naruto's defense, the reason why he didn't 'get to know' the Kyuubi is, well, not only was he able to 'communicate' with him relatively recently, but 'Kurama' is not really the most talkative and respectful, um, monster. He even ignores the Hachibi when he is annoyed (which happens quite often), whom he respects a lot more. 🤨
