if there is an afterlife, I am going to be annoyed, I love life and everything, but, once it is over, I want it to be over. I don't want to either live life in a perfect place because it would be the worst place possible that would drive you insane with misery and boredom. By the time it is time for me to die, I am sure I am going to be very tired and just want to go to sleep. I think life should be lived to the best of your ability being the best person you can be and that when others die you must respect them by continuing on in your life thinking of them and loving the world around you.

The Book Thief is a great book, and no that wasn't just a random, totally out of context thing to say, read it and you will know that I mean when i say it has a great way of looking at life and death.

I'm not religious if that wasn't obvious, nor am I an overly serious and depressed person and I don't want to die if that is the impression what my view on death gave anyone.

I have no thoughts on it since it's not happening (right now). I think about it when I get to that point. Otherwise, I'm not really concerned. I will simply keep doing what I'm supposed to do and hopefully things will be alright in the end.

I think about it at times, but I don't dwell on it for too long,
as I am busy using the time before death for all the things
I can't return to when someone dies. One day it is too late to
do anything about anything. Naturally I'll never get enough
no matter how much time I use on something I find important
or enjoyable if I won't turn cynical towards it, which on the other
hand will mean that I feel that I've wasted time on it. Because
it is impossible to face death in complete satisfaction with
everything, it is perhaps best to not face it as a human being to begin with
if you get stuck in a loop. Just have the courage to do what you want to
and don't let others live your life for you. We are only dying as we live
and every second you spend living without thinking about how
even now you are dying, is immortality. Only the dead person will
not get over his/her death, but statistically speaking, the last time s/he
checked, s/he was alive and cannot check again as s/he no longer
exists and even if you are one of those Holy Rollers, then it is not
a death to begin with if you exist after it. Therefore death exists only
as a bittersweet play that you get used to following, but never experiencing
what it is like as experiencing is only for the living.

@otakuness - I know that fish will soon meet their end just as everything else, but when I see a fish, I don't think about its death. Like I don't think of its life as a timeline, because to me time stretches vertically and horizontally... if that makes sense

@RattixEmpire - I LOVE The Book Thief, and I know what you mean. I've always disliked the idea of Heaven- I have moments that feel like heaven but they only last for a little bit and that's why I cherish them

...But seriously, I tend to worry more about old age over death, even though I am not old enough to think of that stuff yet... >.<;;

Only thing in life that is permanent.
It also only affects the living.

Death is inevitable and I'd much prefer it to immortality. I do hope that when the end is near, I would've made something of my life, constantly striving to move forward instead of being at a standstill.

As a young teen, I used to have thoughts on how painful my death would be though.

Yeah I guess. If time is an illusion, which apparently it might be due to the universe moving at high speeds, then when you die it might not be an end.

If the mind is not stored in the chemical reactions of the brain there might be something in the quantum that goes on.

but since its unavoidable theres no point really discussing it, you have one choice, until you present another its not worth discussing which is better.

I believe that a line from the first book of J.K. Rowling express's my opinion best. It went something like this "For a stable mind death is the next great adventure". As others have already said death will come to us all eventually, so when the time comes I don't think that we should not be terrified. There can not be absolute lack of fear but at least we should not lose all reason when faced with it.
