There are also tags that tell you what the manga will be about and if you don't know what some of the words mean theres always google.

I can't remember where I read this (maybe on this site?) but the opinion stated there was actually more along the lines that the Japanese society has a very low violent crime rate so if you think no one could be hurt by the material you really have less reservation about producing it.

Anyway to OP, I haven't read this series but here's a rule of thumb when you do a series search look for 'Loli' or 'Lolicon' and 'Shotacon' or 'Shoutacon'... I consider that a warning to skip it.
