Also, none has the concept that it is a Sin to just think or imagine stuff, like I believe some American Protestant religions have. Therefore they are freer to imagine, think about, and draw sexual stuff than we are here. Luckily.

I can't remember where I read this (maybe on this site?) but the opinion stated there was actually more along the lines that the Japanese society has a very low violent crime rate so if you think no one could be hurt by the material you really have less reservation about producing it.

Anyway to OP, I haven't read this series but here's a rule of thumb when you do a series search look for 'Loli' or 'Lolicon' and 'Shotacon' or 'Shoutacon'... I consider that a warning to skip it.
