I get them all the time. I am very careless with paper.

I've gotten them on my face before, but they are most hellish on that skin between the index finger and thumb. 😐

On your face? O.o
How?

Hard to explain... because it happens in various ways. I'm very dramatic. So paper tends to get in my path of fury, so I will suddenly like snatch it, and in the process it will like cut my nose or my cheek. 😐 Or if I am reading a book close to my face, I will hold a page up ready to flip it, and it might cut my nose. It sounds weird to describe it.

And I don't do those things any more. I learned my lesson.

Sounds like fun to watch, but Oo
It's amazing how you can get yourself hurt like this.

I wonder why I don't get any cuts from all the books I read...
Maybe they aren't sharp enough? 🤣

I know! Since I used to draw alot, I get paper cuts like crazy! But the worst part is when you get paper cut AND ink and led ect. in the cut... The best idea is to put the antibiotic ointment [whole gallons of it! jk jk], slap on a bandaid, and wait until you bleed to death. :3 But paper cuts are pretty nice compaired to getting a cut from a knife or a pencil... Those hurt... ALOT

I usually gets paper cuts when I shove my hand into my backpack to get something out really quickly. It's usually the plastic edges of my binder that do it. I sometimes also get thread cuts, because I usually yank thread to break it instead of getting scissors to cut it.Yank too fast, and the thread cuts you. But little paper cuts and such don't really bother me, cause they don't hurt that much. They just get sort of tingly...

I haven't gotten any lately it's kind of a miracle lol I'm an accident prone but they do hurt. They hurt more than a needle poke when sewing and they burn and sting all day. It hurts even more if you are writing. 🙁

I get paper cuts sometimes. Strangely they're all from opening my English binder... and yes they hurt but I usually don't get very deep ones. Most of the time I don't notice until after a couple minutes or so. Speaking of delayed reactions, I once was playing outside in a party and I fell (we were playing a variation of manhunt) onto the pavement, using my hands to catch myself. It hurt for a few seconds then stopped and only until we went inside 20 minutes later did I discover that it was bleeding. I looked at my pants and there was a nice big splotch of red since I wiped my hands on them after I fell. My right hand took a while to heal since the flesh was cut like a knife had done it from having to much forward momentum.

papercuts are painful because they are SMALL and pinpoint. and with some reckless movements, you can make it even bigger. Personally, I do not get many paper cuts because I'm extremely aware of papercuts, but when I do.. sigh

Really?? You've only gotten one papercut in your whole life? Wow, that's crazy.
I've gotten several dozens at the very least. Probably over a hundred, but... it's not like I could remember accurately anyways.
I've only gotten a few cardboard cuts, plant cuts (those sedge plants really can cut you), and scratches from animals.
Now, the number of times I've stabbed myself with a pencil (it's those mechanical pencils that get me, but I still love them)... probably several hundred.
But anyway, does everyone really find papercuts so painful? They're not so bad. Well, not for me at least. Now, splinters, though--they really hurt. I'd take five papercuts over one splinter any day.
