Why is it so hard to go on a space adventure in slice of life?

It isn't, I can think of several titles... heck, Aria is set on Mars.

Congratulations! Ur an asshole! - tokyo_homi
**Your awesome!!! **- Cherelle_Ashley
NightSwan also said that she wanted to peg me, once, but I'm not sure whether to take that as a compliment or a threat...

Nay

I'm female and Ecchi is like fan service for males.
The unrealistic boobs annoy me and I hate over pervy-ness
to me just a spice of general pervetness in a story is good
ecchi over does it
smut i barely like--> only read I few here and there and if it's too much no
i prefer mature shoujo

I used to read SEKIREI but I stopped just because of the unrealistic boob size and the characters clothes always come off^^

Do guys really like this stuff? sheesh

Why is it so hard to draw females with normal clothes (and have them keep them on)?

Why is it so hard for characters go on killing sprees in romance/school life?
Why is it so hard to go on a space adventure in slice of life?
Why is it so hard for characters to be serious in comedy?

Because obviously, it would go against what the genre is about. DERP!
I don't mind people disliking ecchi...but please, stop it with these stupid questions.
Don't like it? Don't read it. Don't complain about it.

Sigh...

The question was: "Ecchi? Yay or Nay?"
I gave my honest opinion, I don't like ecchi.
Nowhere was stated that I was talking about ecchi labelled manga per se. Take for example a generic (action) movie or comic book and pay attention to how the females are dressed as opposed to how the males are dressed.
You rarely see a female knight dressed in full body armour.

What you're saying is that people that don't like nudity shouldn't watch pornography... Quite a pointless and very obvious statement... The problem is that nudity (or Ecchi) is more and more becoming the de facto standard. I.e. try finding a decent VN without nudity or sex scenes (that has been translated into English), they are rare.
It's gotten to the point that it's expected of a female protagonist to wear skimpy clothing and that it's normal her clothes come off a few times every volume (shower scenes and such).
Even "normal" comedy/slice-of-life manga feature a pantyshot now and then these days.

Also, that last line is a dangerous one. If everyone started ignoring everything they didn't like the world would pretty much be in chaos and people would be giving free range to do whatever they like (good or, more likely, bad).
That said, criticism should always be constructive and backed by valid arguments or reasons... Otherwise, what's the point?

"Don't like wars? Then don't watch the news and just shut up about it!"... Maybe a bit extreme, but it's the same train of thought.

Err...yeah you were. Only in ecchi series do clothes come off very easily.
Prove me wrong.
Point me to a manga without an ecchi tag where the females wear "normal" clothing that don't come off very easily.

What you're saying is that people that don't like nudity shouldn't watch pornography... Quite a pointless and very obvious statement...

Not obvious enough considering the sheer amount of people on these forums complaining about the ecchi in an ecchi series. (eg. HotD)
Pretty much like purposely sticking a spoon up their anuses and then complaining that it hurts.

The problem is that nudity (or Ecchi) is more and more becoming the de facto standard. I.e. try finding a decent VN without nudity or sex scenes (that has been translated into English), they are rare.

Wrong.
You obviously have not played that many VNs...
Galges and other non-H VNs are more commonly translated than eroges, ie. they're not rare.

Also, that last line is a dangerous one. If everyone started ignoring everything they didn't like the world would pretty much be in chaos and people would be giving free range to do whatever they like (good or, more likely, bad).

No it's not?
I was strictly talking about manga genres, hence the "Don't read it."
That drivel you posted has nothing to do with what I said.

Don't like it (ecchi)? Don't read it. Don't complain about it.

A logical and rational action.

"Don't like wars? Then don't watch the news and just shut up about it!"

An ignorant action.

Yay for Ecchi! Why? Cause when there's no such tag, characters usually ignore sexual attraction a little bit too much. Of course, some series seems to have Ecchi as a selling point. And that's when it gets very weak and redundant.

As a woman, I don't really care for ecchi. It is just distracting or possibly insulting.
