I'm super bored and i don't think this thread exists so yea... All of you that have been to school in the United States are most likely familiar with the rule of either Times New Roman or Arial to be used on school papers. Personally i use Arial because it's a bit more spaced out and less context=more pages in the long run ;]

Well...I prefer using Calibri. ;D
idk I just like it.
If I had to choose, I'd choose Arial...because it's bigger and makes my essays seem longer.

Teaching prefer TNR because of how the letters curve around, which is really nice after reading a billion papers.

I prefer times new roman over arial. Arial is a bit to "large" for my taste...you know, too bold

I prefer times new roman.
I like the serifs.
I'm not sure, used to use Times New Roman.

Well, Times New Roman is more formal and easier to read. (Getting in typography here) the "feet"(serifs) that are part of the characters help distinguish one character from the other so it enables an easier read. That is the reason why blocked text is(or rather, should be) written with serifs. But that doesn't really help the readability of papers since they're usually double spaced, but hey....
Arial is too informal for me. Times New Roman is a classic. But I prefer Georgia serif-wise.

I like Times New Roman, but only probably because I've used it for so long. It's gotten awkward writing a term paper that's not in Times New Roman. For general use like random txt files using notepad, I like the monospace font fixedsys.

I personally prefer Trebuchet MS.
But if I have to type a paper, I choose Arial over TNR.
I just don't like TNR. ;______;
I prefer Arial because it looks 'softer' in my eyes. Arial isn't as...what do you call it...angular as TNR. Funny that, because I'm picky about my fonts ^^

Well i like arial over tnr, but if we're talking overall favorite, i would use Lucida Handwriting, but my university professor would probably spit on it and throw it in my face D;
