I'm seriously confused, folks. I'm not trying to be a jerk, and I admittedly didn't finish reading the manga, but it seemed to me like the prepubescent boy in the story reciprocated an adult man's sexual feelings towards him. This didn't bother anyone else? I acknowledge people's right to read what they want as long as nobody was harmed making it, and I recognize that manga (in contrast to most kiddy porn) can be produced without abusing children. I enjoy the gay smut as much as the next person. I think porn is healthy and consume it myself. Unlike most people who post these words online, I'm really not a prude.

I'm not pretending to be offended so I can preach at people, and this isn't based on abstract principle. This was a very strong gut reaction.

I'm really bothered by people promoting the idea that a child can be a consensual partner in a sexual relationship. Yes, you have the right to read all the lolicon you want, but are this many people really loving a story where the idea of a grown man taking a little boy's virginity is "cute" and where the elementary school student wants to take the physical relationship further?

For those of you who turned on by this aspect of the story, for God's sake, please don't take this attitude out into the world. No matter how special that boy seems, no matter what manga tells you, and no matter what you * think * she wants, a child can't consent to sexual contact. Ever. Period. End of story. Don't get comfortable with the idea that this is possible.

I'm surprised at myself for posting something so preachy, but honestly and truly - I've watched and read some very hardcore stuff. This cutesy little comic is one of the few things that's ever disturbed me so much that I had to stop reading it.

If the kid had been seventeen instead of ten I probably would have loved Loveless.

It's because this story has so little "action" is what makes it so good.
The manga's focus isn't as much as on Soubi's lust as on other things...

Yes, I agree that 10 is too young for those things, but again, it doesn't get so much focus as on all other smut and stuff...

I watched the anime and think it's really confusing and not going anywhere. That the older guy saying"I like you" so often for very little reason is really annoying and boring. Is the manga the same too? If so I don't think I am gonna read it. The female teacher with cat ears is very immature, whiny and annoying. I don't find any character that interests me from the anime. That's why I haven't started reading the manga. The drawing style is pretty (the author was the character designer for Gundam 00 I think).

Them Manga is waaaay better. So, yeah, i would recommend it.

Absolutely no. It's confusing, annoying and boring. I was really pissed off the entire time when I was reading it. Annoying characters that can piss you off. The typical, big boobs, absolutely brainless type of character. Then there's the naive, stupid, refusing to face reality and "I allow people to abuse me cause I'm too stupid to stand up for myself" type of character. Urgh...it's a waste of time.
