There's an option "What are doujins?", but no explanation? I bring this up because most western people don't know what they are.

Doujinshi are self published works. Most are manga and novels, and they can be made by both amateurs and professionals. Usually when professionals make doujinshi, it's simply because they want to publish it themselves.

Many think for some reason that erotic manga is all doujinshi. It can be self published, but there's a lot that aren't.

Not that anyone actually reads this...

Yeah, I read doujins. Mostly adult rated, but I've read a few clean ones as well.

I only follow djs from one or two series, but even those I rarely read. I don't go out of my way to read djs, so generally I'd say no.

The first one I've read was The Song of Memory... but I still think of it as only a oneshot. Other than that, I think I've read three other djs... mostly because Naruto dj - Ninja Ballet Academy Exams was just so absurd that I had to read it.
