Dunno what Perfect Girl Evolution's like, but if you want a good comedy&romance manga try Love Roma.

Also, Adachi's mangas are always a good choice.

Far-off places with sweet sounding names.

Erm, Perfect girl evolution doesn't exactly have a lot of romance, so I think something like Seigi no Mikata would fit.
