Difference between shippudden and the manga

I have been following the manga pretty on and off and since its been running fr a long time, so I mighta forgotten some stuff. On the other hand, I havent been followng the anime Shippudden:- came across an unfamiliar character Sora at episode 60 or so, I have been wondering, is it a filler arc? and did we meet this character in the manga?? I might b completely wrong though..

i think tht guy is the puppet guy rite? if it is than its not a filler arc, its sora is in the manga, his is part of tht group who are after the tails demons

There is no Sora in the manga, as I think I remember. I don't follow the anime though

wats the puppet masters name who is from the Red Sand. i thought he was Sora or maybe his name started wit S and i was mistaken

nope apparently hes a monk...from episode 57 descrptn in wiki
Naruto, Sakura, Sai and Yamato head out for a mission near the Fire Temple. When the other party fails to show up at the rendezvous point, the team gets separated and Naruto finds one of the four hidden tombs they came to protect. After a misunderstanding, he fights one of the monks-in-training from the Fire Temple. The monk Sora uses wind chakra based techniques which intrigue Naruto. The monks and Team Kakashi find the two and clear up the misunderstanding. They all travel to the Fire Temple, and Naruto realizes he recognizes it from his nightmare.
was there anything like ths in the manga? dont remember tht 😕

The anime is currently on filler, and the filler consists of a character named Sora...maybe you should stick with the manga because damn filler is killing both Naruto and Bleach...

The puppeter's name was Sasori.
And no, there is nothing like that in the manga, so it's a filler episode.

looks like they are trying to build up more emotional characteristics in naruto
i say this cause i am positive that the temple in the filler is the one that gets attacked by hidan and the other guy (cant remember name) since they took a body of a ninja who use to be one of the feudal lords gaurds or w/e so im guessing that he dies after fillers

even though this is a filler didn't Asuma have a sort affiliation before with the Fire Temple though. i remember he had studied under some monk before or something. it's was had to do with his sash i believe. so anyone else think the anime might be trying to set this up as some sort of side story for him? lol yeah i was sort of thinking along the same lines as Shmoke on this too.

actually one of the monks was an ally of asuma they were both feudal lord servants or guards or something and apparently the anime is just getting more into detail about the monk and the fire temple
when in the manga it just starts with the temple already destroyed and they sell the monks body to some black market merchant

yeah was assuming that might be the case when the temple and the monks were brought up. well aside from being a filler and knowing most of them are pretty bad, i think this would've made for a very side story.
