me thinks something big is gonna happen with Natsu based around this big secret plan.

Remember, earlier in the series, someone said that nothing can stand in the way of Natsu, and it seems that the Dragon Slayers have some sort of hidden past which even they dont remember

(how else do you explain Gajeel, Natsu and Wendy not being able to go through the rune-barriers? even though they only look like theya re in their late teens or in wnedy's case, a child. Apprently, they are 80+ years old!)

Thats something which hasnt come up yet, ut i think that this arc might kick start that side story.

Back when Laxus was "evil", those dragon slayers tried going through the "anti-makarov barrier" that stopped people above 80 years old from going through. They all got stopped.

Wendy was not in the story at that point. Only Natsu and Gajeel could not pass through Fried's Barrier.

Considering Natsu grew up with Fairy Tail, physically, the chances of him being over 80 years old is rather slim.

Considering that we have a recurring character who uses TIME MAGIC, who can tell?

Maybe Igneel and the other dragons kept their little friends young for some unknown reason, like they're lonely, or dragonslayer magic requires 100 years of teaching under a dragon to learn.

Or maybe Mashima is going to follow Rave and the dragonslayers were sent through a timeslip (Sieg Hart) or they got put to sleep for 100 years (Reisha)

Or he might have a new original plot twist that will shock us all! Mashima's a REALLY good mangaka, and that's one of his abilities.
