Yes, but the title of the manga is "Suzuka" and the starting point is Suzuka trying to beat her high jump record. Have you EVER seen in the entire manga Suzuka in a competition?
For the seriousness you can have a point (even if the theme is not very well handled imho), but imho Suzuka is a bitch and Yamato a total jerk, so I couldn't care at all about them, it's difficult to enjoy a manga where you can't symphathize with the main chars. D-Ash is so much better imho.

yea but i will finish the manga...jus not now lol...i will eventually finish it cuz every manga i start i hav to finish it even if i like it a little bit. the only manga i lost interest was Ranma 1/2, it jus feels to repeative to me. also idk if u kno Ichi the Killer manga but i stop readin tht too, i like violence and stuff but this manga was jus too disgustin for me lol, its the same wit *Shamo-

Even if one were to only watch until the end of the anime (which isn't a real end since it was open-ended), Kare Kano is more about the drama. I have to remind myself that the two leads (and some supporting characters, maybe) are highschool freshmans and Arima gets really dark.

It's a good series, and different than run-of-the-mill shoujo series, but I wouldn't recommend the series for its comedic elements. But I guess you're really thinking about the early stages of the main couple's relationship since they are just getting to know each other since it ranges from silliness to heavy drama.

No, sorry. I know them 'cause they're famous but I never read them. I never happened to find something disturbing like what you say in the spoiler tag that made me stop reading a serie (even tough sometimes I drop a serie if I don't find it interesting anymore).

yea i dont mind twists and stuff if its interesting...i read first 15 chapters of Kare Kano i think and it was a ight manga to me.

and yea Shamo and Ichi the Killer were very sickening to me....i thought i could handle it but dam u kno.
