My friends would say; OMG! They are gay.
I say: Yay, they are gay.
I love yaoi as long therer are bishies and don´t look like Mr. Universe.
I know that Yaoi is completley different from real gay realtionships, so if someone thinks liking yaoi means you´d also enjoy to watch gay porn, he is wrong.
Yaoi is something to women to enjoy it. And i enjoy it very much

I might have a very interesting answer for you. To put it simply, I am female and an S. Basically, S means Sadist, the reflection to M (masochist), and is the seme, the 'top', etc. I read yaoi because I adore the uke, the M side. In most normal girlxboy manga, the men are the same type, strong manly men which most girls love. I can rarely find uke types in normal manga. Therefore, I read yaoi, which has the uke type guy I like. For me, I don't see it as a 'gay-loving' thing, though this is just one opinion of many.

When I said 'death' before 'dishonor', I meant alphabetically.

Why would it be ''forbidden''?
Maybe for the Christians because of their Bible, but except for them, I think we arrived at an era where diversity in sexuality is openly accepted by many.
Gay, lesbian, heterosexual, queer, transgendered, asexuated, etc. In the end, can't we say we are just ''sexual'' and it ends here. =)
I don't think ''God'' (in '' '' because everyone have a different opinion of God) and the Bible(or other religious books) define what is right or wrong about sexuality. If he created the WHOLE universe. Don't you think he have better things to do than <> <>
And for me the Bible is just a book, written with good intentions, but written by men. And all men are imperfect. (C'mon, they say women are inferior animals. It clearly reflect PAST beliefs) Even if people believe in God, sorry but HE didn't personaly write the Bible.
Anyway, it's just our strange society who see ''beeing gay'' as the worst. Lot less problem with lesbian. Maybe because women are more associated to sexuality in all it's forms. (publicity, porn, etc.) or more like sex objects which is awfull...
**Okay, now why do I like Yaoi? **
- Porn and most hentai have the worst scenarios ever. Yaoi have GREAT stories behind them.
- I like the graphics/drawing. I seriouly think these people are artist.
- I like to see MEN. I don't want to see women! Why would I? I'm a woman, I know what I look like, how I work, etc. I love men, (personaly, I'm heterosexual) so I like seeng men in action. :3
- So sexy
- Okay... I have to admit I'm a real pervert. :3 and really, absolutely, curious person. There are a lot of scenarios in yaois that you will never see anywhere else. (Just some exemples: bondage, toys, bara, oyaji, etc, etc, etc.) Wow! You never see that! I'm very interested in non-conventional yaoi. I can like sweet love stories once in a while, but most of the time, I watch/read what's out of the ordinary.
- I like the trill, the excitation of the scenarios! I like when there is tension in stories. And it happens a lot in yaoi. =D If you want an exemple with a normal movie, I liked The Avengers because there where tensions between the members of the group because of their differences. So, nothing strange with that point.
- I think it's more fair. Or realistic. We see 2 strong partners (except for some, but I don't read them much). And I think in a heterosexual relation too, the woman is strong and affirm herself. God I'm so annoyed at all the cuties so shy and who can't do anything! Fuck Disney and it's good-for-nothing princesses. It's fucking sexism!!!!! I like to see 2 equal partners and yaoi give me that.

Out of all manga genre, yaoi definitely has the best art when it comes to human bodies (specifically men), body proportion and the distinguished facial expression. Other genres have them as well, but not as much as in yaoi in general. You usually see over muscular guys in shounen, over girly beautiful idolized in josei/ shoujo or weakling main lead in seinen with romance (personally I really dislike those harem type).
You can't help it but admire the way the artists draw, because it's just freaking amazing. The characters are just simply captivating.
Secondly the plots in yaoi (or the ones I like) are generally more mature. It's like romance with violence and burning desire with twisted scenarios and complex personalities. Unlike (mature) seinen where it only plays a small part in the background or in most shoujo/ josei where it's so stereotyped and sugared. You read manga for good art and good plot, yaoi simply offers you both.
Saying it is quite predictable but you have to admit the sex scenes are hot. All other genres (I've already read/ watched them all) are far behind in this category. In this case the characters actually have chemistry, even if they don't, the mangaka manages to pull it off with all the other factors.
Another the thing is, when you read enough manga and see enough typical things, you are bound to try something new. Some people just get hooked after reading yaoi for its individuality.
I'm fine with anything as long as it fits my taste or impress me, a lot of yaoi works just happen to be so.
Man is more ape than many of the apes.
Well the thing is that most of the audience for yaoi are girls. Girls like guys, specially bishounen ones. So yaoi is like this centre of manga with a whole bunch of bishounen guys with romance and smut in it. Personally I didn't like yaoi is the first place but then I grew to like it. It was mostly cause the first yaoi I read was such a tragic manga that made me sad. But then I read another one after like 6 months and I loved it. Why? Because I found it cute. Right now the only "romance" genre that I read is yaoi. It's more interesting. The plots aren't as predictable as the normal romance ones. Err though I gotta say some of them are. But the thing with normal romance is that it shows girls as characters who are helpless and need the guy. That just makes me sick. Even is they try to make the girl strong, the guy is always the better one. When it comes to yaoi...I just have to say that it's different. Plus it's interesting to read something that's different than normal and you can't really see in the outside world. i can't even relate myself to yaoi so it's like this little place for just my fantasies. It's interesting plot, different than normal, with bisounen guys. Now I can't stop this addiction 😀
