if you go in business suit/funeral clothes you're bound to look like somebody.

I have never cosplayed. I guess there's never an opportunity for me to do so since I don't go to cons, and I don't celebrate Halloween.
But if I ever get to go to a con, I might cosplay Ed from Cowboy Bepop since I fit some of her characteristics. Lol. I also wouldn't have to make the costume since its simple clothes, but I might have a hard time searching for the goggles.
I would feel embarrassed though so it would be once in a life time thing. XD

I've never cosplayed, but I would do it if someone did it with me...
It wouldn't be hard to make a good costume, since I make most of my clothes, and have made quite a few costumes for theatre and halloween. And I can act quite well, or at least pose (and use photoshop 🤣 )
Never did, and probably will never cosplay. But according to the character it wouldn't really take much to cosplay. Some megane skinny guy manga character would require only matching clothes. 🤣

I would have liked to try cosplaying but none of my friends are even remotely interested in it and perhaps I'm getting to old for it now. Though I suppose if an opportunity presented itself I might be pursuaded.

Me? Cosplay? You must be kidding.
Absolutely not. I'm going to be very frank here, 'cause this is what I think: cosplaying is for dweebs. It's just a corny thing for obsessed fangirls and boys to do (just like going to cons and collecting figurines and themed merchandise).
I mean, if you like that kind of stuff and think it's fun, then fine, do it if you want--there's nothing "wrong" with it, besides how lame it is. As for me, I think it's really embarrassing, so I'll stay far away where hopefully I won't see you.

My friends and I did Sailor Moon characters for Halloween last year. It was at school, and it was lots of fun.
I don't see anything wrong with cosplaying. It's a lot of fun to look at the costumes, and some cosplays are really really good. A lot of the FF ones, actually. It's fun to be part of the spirit and obsession rather than look down on it. At least I'm having fun, then, instead of just hating. Not cosplaying is just fine, too.
I'm going to try to cosplay at cons and stuff, but I'll probably never get around to making a costume. Ahh, procrastination...

This quote is funny. giggle
I've never cosplayed before, but I might like to try it once. 😁

I've never cosplayed before, but I think it might be fun to go to a con and try it at least once. A lot of my manga-friends have cosplayed and they enjoy it, which is probably why I'm still open to the idea. If I ever do get a chance to try it, at this point in time, I'd probably try to do Kyoko fro Skip Beat in her bright pink Love Me uniform.
Another reason I might actually do it one day: on several occasions, I've tried to come up with an excuse to dress up as Princess Leia from Star Wars. That's not really "cosplay" but I don't think the line between that and cosplaying is too thick. I've just never been able to get someone brave enough to do it with me and I'm not just randomly doing it alone.
