My memory is a bit selective so i forget things quite often depending what the thing is ofc.
I am really bad with names,dates and homework 😛

I know I've said this before in some other thread here. But I sometimes forget peoples' faces and names.

Someone would call out to me and say "Hey man. Long time no see!" and I would greet them in turn by saying "Yo, how have you been?" but in the back of my mind I'm thinking "Who is this guy again?", "Why can't I remember?", "Why does he know me so well?", "I know I met him from High School.", etc...

Frankly, It gets really annoying...

I have a nearly photographic memory when it comes to random facts, formulas, and other totally useless knowledge. However, when it comes to names, dates, and things that might actually be useful to me in every day life, I am sorely lacking in the memory department. This always makes things awkward when people I met only hours before come up to me and say something and I should introduce them to the friends I am with, but I totally don't remember their name. I am like "uh, this is Brian, and this is ....?" , and then I feel really stupid.

it's even worse because my name's extremely easy and common, so they'll know my name after our initial introduction. i was vice captain of the tennis team and i can only remember... 15 people's names. out of 25. then a lady from the place i interned for for about a month said hi to me about 5 days ago... if my friend (who did the internship with me) hadn't told me after he said hi i would have kept thinking she was his acquaintance.

I can remember stuff and it's rare that I actually forget. When my parents tell me stuff, I remember it, and as for school I remember the assignements. It's rare that I forget, but I usually forget if I'm preoccupied with something and my mind is somewhere else.

I forget things like dates, doing homework, the dialogue in video games and peoples names. I sometimes go through the whole alphabet trying to figure out a persons name...don't ask me why I do it, I just do.

One time I was looking for my glasses then minutes later realize that I was already wearing them >.>
