I'm really curios about this

Quote from x0mbiec0rp
If I give a 10, it's usually because I think others should read the series. Scores, to me, aren't a judgement of how well made the manga is, but whether or not I'd suggest it to someone else to read. That said, I don't really rate things often, because I'm lazy.
yeah, that's how i basically feel. some are so good though, that i just need to give them a high rating for greatness and i only really rate the ones that i really liked or disliked... 😀
I hardly rate, and I've hardly given 10s either to the ones I have rated.
If I was rating something as 10 however, it would be because I really really enjoyed it, and I wouldn't mind picking it up and reading it all over again, many many times.
Anyways, I'm too lazy to rate. I don't listen to the rating system much myself.

My rating system is something more like this.
1-4,5:
Means I do not read them, either I have droped them or they are on Hold for me to regain my intresst in them.
5:
Barely readable, I only read it because I like one tiny little part of it.
5,5:
Same as 5 but the intresst is wider, (my point of intresst return often).
6:
Here I´m attracted to the manga due to itself and not due some part of it but rather to one of its main points. Contains quite a bit of things a dislike.
6,5:
Same as #6 but it is still to good to be only 6 (it can be art, story or charater), and less Dislikemeant.
7:
The manga now evolves around my intressts, however it still has things a dislike, which often is with the storyline or the Charaters.
7,5:
The manga has is within my center of interest and lacks very few things, (meaning that I do not dislike that things thats missing but they are still missing).
8:
I definitly like what I read and the things that are lacking is at this point is small, the changes I would like to apply to the manga is things that should happen, and they are charater developments (in other words, i want to keep everything as it is and change some along with the storyline insted of rewriting).
8,5:
Same as #8 but the lacking part is so small it barely exist. (here it doesn´t only apply to Charater development but also to the storyline, meaning that the storyline is beter than in #8)
9:
This manga may have a more crapy storyline then a #7 but the rest makes up for it, here it is at thetop, I read it and the bads are covered up by the good, the storyline along with the characters is great, and as I mentioned the thing I do not find to my liking does not bother me due to the fact that the things to my liking is so good.
9,5:
This manga lacks nothing of what I want, It has no faults, nothing makes up for anything because there is nothing to make up for, It is a Great Manga and I recommend, the art fit the manga and the story, the charater are great, the only changes I would like to slide in is for my own satistfaction, like more times were Pince from 1/2 Prince owns and See Rock's dark side from Black Lagoon more often.
10:
I love it, I want no change, I want nothing Diffrent, I want to Read it more, I want to see The Storyline Advance, I want more Chapters, I have no bad comment about This manga what so ever, I regard A manga at #10 as Flawless.
I've given 5 mangas out of 118 mangas that in a 10, which 91 or 92 of them is still in reading and the rest in Completed. So i would not say i give them out so often.
If you want to succeed
Then you don't need Good Luck
You need the ability to overcome Bad Luck
Happines and Light needs a source to exist
Hatred fuels itself and Darkness exist where there is no Light

If you had ever taken statistics you'll know that most responses are either one of the extremes, other than that, most will not respond at all. So it's not necessarily "why do people easily give tens?" but more of "why don't you ever rate the ones beside you liked?" This is why voluntarily responses (such as the votes and comments) are inaccurate of how good a manga is.
After knowing how hard it is for statisticians to get totally accurate results, I try to rate everything, but that's just too much work and for me too late. There's almost about two thousand manga on my list, so that's just not sensible.
How I have rated so far is that I only rate the ones that leave an impression on me. Also, it's based on my initial reaction, so I don't go back and change it. I probably should though, since I know for sure my opinion has changed for some of them.

I have read a lot but I'm so lazy to rate. There are 2 cases that I will give 10:
If it's popular, I only give a 10 for the manga that is really a masterpiece (very few manga deserve it)
If it's unpopular, I may give a 10 to recommend other people to read it.
Actually, I think most of people who reply to this topic, is really picky when they rate. People who give the perfect point easily, will not mind the forum discussion...
That's why the choice "You're wrong, I rarely give 10" is major 😐

I don't.
A few Nines, but no ten.
I know of no perfect manga.

I never give 10. Never ever.
Giving 10 would mean that manga is perfect and nothing is perfect in this world.

Not many 10s... probably less than five... and I update my scores... if I find a manga that is better than one that I rated with a 10 or 9 in the past, then I drop the old one a few points and give the new one the place it deserves.

I have given only two 10s.
I have no criteria when it comes to 10s, really. The series may be a true gem, excellent in every aspect, like Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou. Or it might be something not that great, which I'd usually rate 9, hadn't it left such a great impression on me that I'd actually refuse to rate it with anything else than a 10 - like Boichi's Hotel.
I don't get people who rate every other mediocre crap with a ten. Really, it's just.. ugh.

I don't think I give many 10s.
Then again, I don't keep track of this.
When I feel the manga deserves a 10 I give it a 10.
We all read for our enjoyment, so no matter how much you
try to be objective I doubt anyone can pull it off completely.
Do I honestly have to justify my ratings? 🤣
I'm not idealistic with my ratings.
I rate by feeling, by how much I enjoyed the manga.
You might disagree, but I don't care. 🙂
Sure, I don't agree with many ratings myself,
but it's not my business to judge anyone's taste.
Hrodulf and Bjornolfr, you will not be forgotten.

I rarely give 10's.
I consider a 10 manga something that i absolutely enjoyed, something that was well executed and that i will enjoy not only once. One thing that i do is only rate after the manga has ended, many people rate a series while still in it's early stages, and i just can't grasp how one can make a clear, solid evaluation after say only 2 or 3 chapters, especially considering many things could change. I also think that it is entirely subjective and related to people's standards. We aren't all looking for the same thing in one series, and that explains the difference in ratings.
I rarely gave perfect 10.
i just give it to a few great manga,
usually it based on the GreatnesS of its story and character in the Frame of distinctive ARTs.
For example I gave 10 for Oda-sensei's masterpiece 😀 u know what it is.
But reid1, u make me realize... i only gave one or two bad score for manga I read (my standard : it's bad if it's below 5. I usually dropped reading a manga when i feel it's not worth to read any longer.... when the score has fallen around 6).

I give a 10 when I really enjoyed reading that manga.
I don't think I gave out lots of 10 too.. hmm..
but, I'll never rate 10 based solely on art alone. Never! xD

I haven't given a single 10. If there's anything I don't like then I can't give it a 10.(I do have a few 9.7s and the like though.)

I give 10's based upon the overall avg of the manga. If I think the manga is better then what the general community has rated it, I give it a 10 in hopes of helping increase the score to my judgement, same with 1's.
