I am right handed... though I can do a few things with my left hand I can't do anything very precise... and I am also directionally challenged like others in this thread. xD I have never really tried writing left handed... but every time I try to imagine it I only see myself wanting to write right to left... somehow I see writing left to right with my left hand being fairly uncomfortable for me... shrugs maybe it's a past experience from kindergarten/first grade I am remembering...

I'm a lefty~
I love it; however, I have a damn hard time using hand-held can openers. Also, for some reason, I'm completely unable to pour milk with my left hand.
Fun fact: 2,500 lefties die every year from using right-handed products.

It is hard for a right-handed person to write left handed, at first - I had trouble with making the letters mirror-image - but once you get the hang of it it's not so bad. Of course, my left-handed writing is still on the kindergarten or first grade level...but it is readable.
Doing most things with my right hand is automatic, I don't have to think about it. Doing the same things with my left hand, I really have to think about it, and sometimes try it with the right hand and then reverse it. After doing it a few times, your muscles & brain start to get the hang of it & it's not so hard. 😃

oh, I always wonder how left-handed people write from left to right and keep their hands clean. All the pencil marks are smudged!

Normally I don't have a problem with that. However, if I'm writing something for an extended period of time, then I'll start to smudge my letters and my hand gets lead/ink on it.

A friend of mine plays tennis with his right, but writes with his left. He's naturally right handed though. Same with my cousin. He writes with his left, but plays computer games with his right. He broke his right arm I think in first grade. After that he started using his left hand to write. Now it sticks to him and forever will. I wish I ambidextrous.
