in my opinion urahara more or less had an idea that there is someone researching or experimenting the souls other than his team, although i think at this point urahara' team is doing just a research (I'm keeping my fingers crossed here as I don't want for urahara to be depicted as cold and heartless character). Urahara didn't make a fuss at first cause he doesnt have an idea that such experiments of the other group would result to death of gotei 13 members. Yes, i think it's Aizen's team.

Is it just me but Eshmei look like ukitake maybe because of the hairstyle. I started to like Kensei back in chapter 104 when i think he was funny and loud not the Kensei of the present time though. what a big turn around.

And another thing, as i said in my previous posts, the liutenants of this arc are actually daring, masahiro sleeping while on the stake out, hiyori trying to refuse Kisuke's orders 🤣 But Kisuke is regretting sending Hiyori to the crime scene unescorted.

@Kakashi - I don't think that Urahara going after Hiyori was caused mainly by his caring side. More like he thought he should've thought about the danger and go and deal with it himself.

Bah, it wasnt very...interesting. I find this whole flashback long and annoying . but I guess its important.

It seems strange even to me, but it looks to me this attack had something to do with
ichigo or something (or zangetsu im not sure...). I think that for 3 reasons,
1st, the first moment i saw the zanpakutou piercing kensei, i thought it look identical to ichigos 2nd, the way they were attacked not even managing to see the attacker it matches with ichigos crazy speed,
and
3rd and most important,
in the last part of page 19, you can see the right half of someone standing behind
kensei as he turns around, take a look at his shoulder... only ichigos costume in bankai has sharp shoulders like that!!(you know..i mean those things they put on suits and stuff to make the shoulders look taller, dont remember how they are called, but im sure i havent seen that on anyone but ichigo when in bankai)
So , i think this someone is gonna introduce a new mystery revolving around ichigo or his family 😀

well, i can kinda see urahara turning some of them into vizards only to save their lives, only in turn to have SS deem the procedure to be potentially dangerous, and exiled urahara and the vizards. and goddangit! Akon was cute!

if you're referring to ichigo's tensa zangetsu, no. look a lot closer to in the lower right panel and realize the blade is not black. it only seemed black on the top panel cuz of the lines and blood.

as for the shoulder, i doubt it as well. if you remembered, some of the captain's coats are sleeveless, like kensei's, and as such, can make that sharp edge on the shoulder in a silhouette.

In order to save the shinigami's lives who are in critical condition such as Kensei if he indeed sustain a huge damage after the surprise attack thus urahara turned them into a vaizard is what your'e. But how? When urahara used the gigai's he is experimenting so that the wounded shinigami will be able to recover while wearing the same? If this is the case then the vaizards became as such was not due to hougyoku after all. I'm not sure about this theory since the battle with aizen is all because hougyoku but who knows, this theory or part of this theory might be correct.

Eshmie by the way is the long-haired guy with a bangs so much like ukitake but his face is a cross between aizen and ukitake.
