So, what is the appropriate age in your opinion? What do you think about the subject? For that matter, what age were your parents when they had their firstborn? Does your thinking coincide with what they've done?

I'm the oldest, and my mom was 22 when she had me, while my father was 25. So I have relatively young parents.

25-30..only cause by then most people are ready to settle down..mature enough...and probably a steady income...although 30-35 isnt that bad either

i'd say it doesn't matter so much age as it does when you are able to provide them with steady support, be it financially or psychological.

This.

My mah had me when she was 18 and its turned out ok.

So i guess as long as you can support, its ok with me.

(as long as its not like 14...)

People shouldn't have children. none

My mom was 17 when she had my brother, I don't know how old his dad was, because I never met him. It seems to me like he was 17 or 18. But she was 30 when she had me. laugh So old..

I also think there should be an age where you aren't allowed to have children anymore.

I think people should have children when they've got their life in order, so maybe like 25-30. My mom had me when she was 27 and my dad was 31<---yeah, they were pretty old! but she had my older brother when she was 17 so yeah....

Young? Ha, that's nothing. My parents where nineteen when I was born and sixteen when my sister was born, who actually had a miscarriage at fifteen. My MawMaw was... sixteen, I think, when she had my mom, then my was a few years later. My aunt actually didn't have a child until she was thirty.

Women can have children when they're older but it's not as easy. Having children when women are older also can cause problem with their baby. The older a woman is the higher her baby's chance of Down syndrome is, Sarah Palin is an example of that. When women who are over 35 years old get pregnant they have to have amniotic fluid drawn out with a HUGE syringe and tested to check on the baby… every month. I also think it’s easier to have fun with your kids when you are younger. My mom had me when she was 24 she had my brother when she was 34. When I was little we used to go to the zoo, the park and all sorts of fun things but my mom didn’t do those things with my brother because she got tired more easily than when she was younger. That said I think that girls should go to college if they can and get educated (it’s the Asian in me) when they’ve experienced college and had fun (and graduated). Then they should think about family planning if they want to. Speaking with experience I think it is much easier if the woman wants to do any type of stay-at-home mothering, to start your careers after having your kids rather than start your career and put it on hold while raising.

most people can safely handle giving birth 15-16, but i'd say 20-25 is the best time to have a kid. immature folks should to wait until they mature though, no need to screw up the baby because you can't give it the time it needs

I'd say 25 is a good age to start. Maybe a little less, really it depends on the person. I know some chicks who are like fifteen sixteen and are trying to get a kid. Man, I facepalm uncontrollably.

The best age biologically is around teens and early 20s,
since the babies will more likely be healthy and of good quality,
but the society does not support giving birth young, since
young mothers need to take care of their child's future as well
as their own future, unless they are not planning to educate
themselves a lot.

Huh? Care to explain? I thought the baby should develop in the womb after a women fully develops?

You're right, Mams, and so hypothesizing you complete your education at 21, then you only have a few years. I don't like the idea of being a teen mother - I don't want the responsibility of another life yet, so I want to wait until I'm somewhere in my mid twenties.
