How is it no one has mentioned Ghengis Khan? I mean the man conquered a better portion of Asia and Europe.
He's not really a dictator, though. It's not like he laid down a harsh governmental system as much as he sacked country after country.

Why hasn't anyone named Hugo Chavez?
That guy is the most political influential dictator from our time.
He is actually converting his neighbored countries to the communism.
While everybody thought that communism was decaying, he is pushing a big comeback.
I would call him, a dictator's pimp, because he has other dictators under his control, such as Evo Morales

Well its clearly Hitler, but Stalin definitely comes in a close second, he was pretty good about killing millions of people for stupid reasons too. In fact somewhere I heard Stalin may have actually caused more total deaths, especially since he didnt do a fantastic job actually running the Soviet Union either (causing famines and such), something that Hitler can actually get a little bit of credit for, I mean he did know how to run a government, he was just a bit insane as well.

I've seen no evidence placing him as a dictator. The truth is, I'm not even sure old Lucifer bothers to do much ruling at all. It's hard, because hell seems more like a storage zone for souls than anything else, so it's kinda like, laissez-faire.

i know, thats why i said it wasn't ok....
murder based on only outward aspects and religous and such is never ok.
espically on that large of a scale, but not nearly as many died in it that did under stalin.
