I actually broke up with 2 of my girlfriends on 2 separate Friday the 13ths. Crazy, huh?
And this thread gives me an idea for another thread...

I know more people (like me) who say that than those who say it's an unlucky day for them.

i rarely pay attention to the date and even less to its meaning (good/bad luck) 🤣
Anyway these are all superstitions/self-suggestion/urban legends/etc

My college professor explained that Friday the 13th came from when the pope turned on the knights Templer. That just happened on a Friday that was the 13th of the month. I dont know how true, it is but i don't know why he would lie to us.

maybe he just doesn't know it either. People bs sometimes to make themselves appear smart. You know those kind of professors, always trying to get students to boost his own over sized ego
I'm going to go with the theory of numerology based on mythology rather than the Knight Templars.
The 4 in Chinese sounds like death, so it's a bad number
So is 3, which sounds like to disperse or break up or such.

I think it is exactly the topic. I see nothing wrong.
i think 13 is related to Jesus and the 12 Apostles (1 of them, the 13th person at the table, being the one who sold him off), thus the "bad luck" of the number 13 (specially while being at a dining table)

uhhh....I think one of the 12 Apostles did that. Judas Iscariot the 12th did that.

It has nothing to do with Jesus, It's about the genocide of the Templars by Catholic Church http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friday_the_13th
Looking for this!!!

yep, i know it (lol i gave it for known -Italy here- so i didnt even named him, haha!): i think at the table, he was counted as the general "13th man", including Jesus :3
@Iezama: mm so Friday 13 is about it...well i could be anyway right for the 13 number alone, though (in effect, i was only speaking about the number, dunno even why i discarded the "friday thingy" lol ,sorry 😛 )

Notice the word "theory" indicating uncertainty.
It's not a genocide
It's just as likely as grandexeno's theory

Judas was later replaced by someone else named Matthias after the reserruction.

I'm not a superstitious person, but I found it a little auspicious.

I don't think it matters really. I mean when I was in middle school, my locker was number 13 and on friday the 13, nothing happened. Just an ordinary day. I found my worst days to be on saturday and thursdays.
