How about Yuusha Gojo Kumiai Kouryuugata Keijiban? In general, Alphapolis mangas aren't too well known, with a few obvious exceptions. Even more, the novels behind it aren't known at all. Manga art aside, they're really good.

Because it's not naruto or bleach, that's why it's unheard of.

I found this thread by typing in "underrated" into the forum search engine and clicking on the first thread that was relevant. I would have started a new thread, but repeating threads that already exist is frowned upon, so I commented on this old one instead. I'm not sure why resurfacing an old thread is so vexing, but I apologize to anyone that it irritates.

Anyway, the reason I wanted to post in an "underrated" thread is--to be honest--because I wanted to give Cherry Boy, That Girl some publicity. It pains me that it is relatively unknown and especially that it has such a low rating.

I now chose this necrothread to pimp out these quality untranslated mangas.
May they hava a day in the sun:
Kento Ankokuden Cestvs, La La La, Oi! Ryouma, Ryuu - Ron and Steve Jobs.

Edit: Ok guys i am on the job and will visit "Manga you wish would be scanlated" soon. That Cestvs is not scanlated is realy not cool. It is by a friend of Miura and the definition of seinen.

I also read EU/US comics and am a librarian.

I'm with silencecomes on this. If you were looking for more examples of the same kind, bumping an existing thread is OK and in fact is what you should do. The problem is, this is the "I'm Looking For..." forum. When I read a topic here, I assume that the poster is actively looking for something. I cannot tell you the number of times I have been suckered into drafting a reply, only to check the date of the original post, and feel like a sap for answering someone who not only isn't still looking for an answer, but may not even be reading manga anymore.

If you have a title that you want to promote, I think it's more appropriate - and will better serve your purpose - to start a new thread in "Manga General" or somewhere else, call it "Underappreciated Manga that Need More Love" or something like that, make your case, and invite other people to contribute.

residentgrigo, you need to post your titles to a 'Scanlation Wish' thread. These titles are obviously underrated because they aren't available in English, and it's just frustrating for those of us limited to English to have these dangled in front of us and not be able to read them.

Ah okay, I see. Thanks for clarifying the issue scarletrhodelia; I should have checked which forum it was posted in (I'm looking for...) and not just looked at the topic. I mistakenly thought that it was a general thread along the lines of "best josei ever" or "worst cliche" that could be added onto ad infinitum.
