Heh all of you seem to have commited some unspeakable acts. I might actually be the goody goody one here. I wonder what some of those risky secrets are no doubt stuff you'd go to jail for.

@Shono What? You're scaring me a little. I can't believe that music can have that much of an effect on your life. I used to like Linkin Park when they first came out but now I think i'm tired of all the screaming and I prefer alternative (maroon 5, matchbox 20, Five for fighting) I also like lots of old music like 60's 70's 80's and even before the 60's. Let's see the beatles, jimmy hendrix, Janis Joplin. Also I like old love sons but one of my favourite songs of all times would have to be "I will wait for you" by Connie Francis. It is old and I first heard it in an episode of futurama called jurassic bark where fry decides not to bring his pet dog from the past back to life because he thought that since the dog lived on for another 10 or so years that the dog forgot all about him. And so he decides to let the dog rest in peace. And then they flash back to the past and they show the dog waiting for fry as the time goes by and it gets older and he just keeps waiting there outside the pizza place until he just lies down and the song is played during this emotional ending. I know it's wierd but if you've seen futurama maybe you know what i'm talking about. Anyways, the music of our generation has no immortality anymore. Songs are big one day and five years later you barely remember them. Can't compare with the classics. Sorry but they just can't. Also a lot of today's music is either full of vulgarity or extremely dark. Music is food for the soul right so if you feed on only the dark stuff it'll turn your soul Dark. This was all randoom babbling but that is a very beautiful song and the words are amazingly poetic and powerful. Yeah so don't get depressed cause of some lame band. All bands these days are just passing trends anyways. 😛

All of you feel free to tease me about being an old soul or whatever. I have to hear it all the time anyways. Even from my parents.

Hrms, deepest secret? Strangely that I am still a virgin. It should be a good thing as I am female but... Everyone just assumes that since I dated a (seriously) older guy for over 6 months any innocence I had is gone. But its just not true. Even my two closest friends, and my mother -_-" operate under the assumption that I had sex a long time ago, and I just don't have the guts to correct them after all this time.

Deepest fear? Disappointing my parents. Its not exactly like it sounds, I understand I should live for myself and all that. They aren't pressuring me for anything, they dont have any particular desire except to see me happy. Its just they have been awsome folks, and I feel pressure from myself to do them justice for all that they have done for me. I never want to see their disappointed faces.

For things that I am scared of, I have an irrational fear of mirrors. Not the mirror itself, just watched too many horror films where you look in the mirror, see nothing one second, turn around and then BAM! Criminal/serial killer/ghost behind you. Or worse, nothing behind you and you can see it in the mirror. Or something is different in reflection than in the room on yourself..::shviers:: I can't look at a mirror too long at night. It gives me the willies.

I was suicidal. Was

There was a time when i wanted to end my life.
The reason for this are nonrelevant.

during that dark time of that the "screaming" like you called it, helped me to survive. i was one with the music, that filled my weak soul with new confidence.

after a while I met a very unique person. He introduced me to some people, now they are my best friends for life. The person also introduced me to roleplay and anime/manga.

after that, i was reborn. I had my first boyfriend (and girlfriend,.......you know experimental time of my youth) and explored how damn beautiful life can be.

now, years later, i don't see myself in my old pictures anymore.
and that thanks to the hearttouching music that saved my life.

p.s. bully_jesus resembles that unique person of mine allot

hmmmm.... Secrets? If I told you I'd have to kill you. Actually here is one. One night I went out with the guys and had a slight car accident. The front right light was broken and the fender was bended. Any way I go home sleep and when I wake up in the morning I made up a story and told my dad. After that though I take care of the car like my life depends on it. In case you are wondering it's a 1979 Mini Cooper and the accident occurred because the bloody reverse didin't engage as it should.

Fears - I'm scared of cockroaches. There I said it. Other than that I fear nothing. No fear of heights (I flew planes two or three times), no fear of any fish or other insects, no fear of closed spaces. Now that I think of it I might be a wee bit afraid of needles, but I blame a nurse for that one.

I fly on planes alot as well but it's not really that scary. I'm scared of heights like if I'm on top of a high building on the roof and I look down. I get like..vertigo or something...scary! 🤢

@hto von Willebrand's disease is a genetic disorder where the lack of von Willebrand's factor (related to factor VIII but not the same) is preventing platelet aggregation. The symptoms vary in severity over time and important tests to diagnose it are bleeding time, ristocetin cofactor activity assay, vWF antigen immunoassay, platelet count, and aPTT. Most cases aren't very severe and there are a number of different types of the disease.

@Isabel I don't think being a virgin counts as a dark secret 🤣 It's good that you respect your parents enough to care about their opinions. Some pressure to succeed isn't a bad thing either.

@Shono It's good that you got past that dark point in your life. Having other people to support you can make a huge difference in life.

@lilchoconut My grandma's old house is like that too. There must be holes all over it because the bugs would be crawling all over the place. I remember a few times when I would wake up with a bug crawling on me. 🤢 Mostly it was earwigs or spiders.

I'm talking about the 2-seater planes though. The ones where your feel the sky is at your feet.

what can be scarier than riding a plane?

maybe:

"Snakes on a Plane"?

or: (my alltime favourite)

"Samuel L. Jackson on a Plane"!

that was seriously the scariest movie ive ever seen, i mean imagine if you were locked on a plane with snakes........

but anyway biggest fear- possums
long story short i tried to move what i thought was a trapped dead possum, and it woke up and gave me this look, like it was goona eat my soul or something......hooooo....the thought still gives me chills all over

@shono- we've all had problems, but props on having the balls(figure of speech) to actually talk about them, something most ppl dont have(myself included)

Yeah that's the vibe I got from your first post. As for my opinion on the music that's just my opinion and random babble. If it helped you get through the rough patches that's fine. I knew a girl who tried to kill herself on many different occasions. Whatever the reasons it is good that you feel better about yourself. I am pretending not to have seen the middle part about experimenting but whatever works for you. I've personally not had an easy life but I was shall we say "blessed" or "cursed" with one of those happy-go-lazy personalities so I've never once had thoughts of ending my life cause quite frankly killing yourself seems harder than sticking around. I mean I'd rather enjoy the few good things left in this world than face the dark unknown. I still think that most modern music are all trends but "if it makes you happy then it can't be that bad" (what song is that from? Can you guess?).
And even if your life ever gets bad again at least you can live to read manga 😛

Yeah shono props to you for having the guts to tell us something that big. I might have an even greater respect for you now. Don't fall off the wagon though. Keep "good" true friends so that they can pick you up again. Cliche I know but I meant it. 😛
