Hey guys, im looking for a shounen/seinen manga where the guy starts out having trouble with girls (probably some nerd who gets nervous around women) that eventually becomes a player almost.
Don't even know if there is a manga like this ><. It would also be nice if he had a mentor of some kind.

The only thing with a similar plot which I could think of is Dna2. It's definitely not the best Kastura manga tough.

The World God Only Knows kinda, sorta. He's a dating sim otaku who doesn't like real girls, but has to capture them, so he gets a decent amount as the manga progresses.

What about harems?

Love Hina and To Love-Ru both have chars who start out totally hopeless, but end up with every girl in a 5 mile radius after 'em (and get better at interacting with girls)

My Balls has a hopeless boys who ends up getting a lot of action, but not sure he gets any smoother

except for the player part, Densha Otoko is what you're looking for.

that was a really interesting series. short and sweet. to the point. and if nothing else, enjoyable.

also try out Me-Teru no Kimochi not the best manga, but it is kind of what youre looking for. i found it enjoyable even though it had its short comings

Gekka no kimi is about a guy who trembles every time he touches a girl, but that's because of a curse, he is actually really popular. It might just be the thing ur looking for. and the artwork is great, but it's still in translation, the jap version it's finished though.

Not really a nerd, but Kei from Gantz starts off with no redeeming qualities and through great character development he becomes an inspirational leader whom everyone looks up to.
