LOL
Well her art sort of changes but not that much
I also agree on the robot theory-it's impossible to like draw 5 series with 10-20 volumes each every year. 😕

Oh dear author, I love how you word your phrases.
Anyways, I hear that Hwang Mi-ri is a, LEGEND in Korea. Not too sure about Han yu-rang, but Han yu-rang's stories are just a little bit better.

agreed.
That woman is a monster/robot/thingie o.o
I'm okay with her work; it's just that once you've read a couple, you've read them all
how is it possible? how 😕

Wow I just counted up both Hwang Mi Ri's works and Han Yu Rang's works (because they both have a lot)
HMR - 1031
HYR - 797
To me they seem like the same person in some ways ... almost always writing the same thing over and over again.
Oh well. I think, like how one of the previous posts said, that it is a big company marketing off of one name or something along those lines. It really is kind of an insane amount of publications no matter how long they/she has been around. 🙄

She's an overpowering korean manwha-ka who needs to tone down the crappy art style and retire.

i hated her art a lot!!! maybe i'm being a hater and all but i stopped reading manhwas after i read her stuff. her lines are too stiff and the character's poses are all the same!! just redrawn with a different background. there's no depth to her lines it's all the same weight. argh!! it drives me crazy!! 😔 🤢 🙁 😢 >:-( >:-( >:-( >:-( >:-( >:-( >:-( >:-( >:-( >:-( >:-( >:-( >:-( >:-( >:-( >:-(

Truth be told... I actually don't think she's a "factory of workers" or an "assembly line".
This is because her art style has changed from being plumper characters to being skinnier characters with shinier eyes. (Or maybe they all just changed together xD....)
I do believe she just has a LOT of assistants. She probably just sketches out the basic poses/faces, and layouts then sends them to her assistants to ink. You would be suprised how bland pages from some manga (+ANIMA for instance) look like before they're inked. 12 pages a day is possible with like 6-8 assistants. Plus the arts quality is extremely rushed.
I might be wrong because I've spent a boring Saturday trying to find a picture or anything about her in general on Korean websites. (I found nothing.)
She probably has no time to think of a new storyline, so she just repeats it.
The only question I really have is... Does she have a life?
She's an overpowering korean manwha-ka who needs to tone down the crappy art style and retire.
Seconded

I hate her and her art. The characters are so shallow!! No personality at all, there are so many cat fights it annoys the hell outta me. Boys are always bad boys which just fight. -______-

I kinda got tired of her. Know one or few of her stories, know them all. Seriously.
Though I've notice a really weird tendencies in shoujo manwha. I don't know if you've seen it too.
The girl is always threated like shit and she likes it.
The guy is always violent.
The girls find it totally normal to swear or call words to each other like were they greeting each other...even if they get trampled by the guy.
I wonder...are korean highschools girls really like that?

Another running theme in Hwan Mi Ri's manhwas that extremely bother me is the idea that only stupid people are happy while anyone else remotely intelligent are dark and twisted by the complexities of their minds. Please! Gag me with a spoon, I mean, come on! Seriously? Every single main character seem to have three functions in life: eating, fighting and throwing tantrums over eating and fighting. Somehow, I doubt dark, demented handsome guys (who are usually the love interests) find the behaviors of spoiled toddlers attractive, though this seems to be the case in her comics. Those genius assholes seem to find conversations about needing more food or beating people stimulating.I mean whenever I encounter conversations like that it only makes me remember why I only babysit for money. Take Hot Blooded Woman. Even though Hwang Mi Ri's manhwas annoy me I decided to give this one a try. In my opinion so far it's one of the better ones but what pisses me off is
the whole thing between the main character and the chick whose body she is inhabiting. They keep saying how the main character can remain happy because she's dense and completely oblivious to everything, while the weak rich girl whose body she inhabits is always ill because of mental stress. Her interests are considered to be on the intellectaul side and for some reason that doesn't include any 'unladylike' pursuits. What pisses me off is when the manhwa progressed past her bitchiness she seemed actually pretty interesting when she wasn't tortured by her obsession with the male lead and when she wasn't constantly mentally stressed. Stupid. >:-(
Lol I agree that most of her characters act like demented 5 year olds (obsession over food, fighting and such) which really pisses me off as well. However, I do not agree that the main character in Hot blood woman is all dense and completely oblivious to everything. Actually being dense and stupid is a part of her poker face. She acted stupid in order to keep the male lead and the vice Jjang close to her (by not realizing all those evil things they were doing to her) because she didn't want to lose them. In the manwha there are also times when she breaks her poker face and you will also notice a change from her normal stupid self. One scenario is at the end when she shoots to protect her life instead of the life of the male lead. It's really hard to explain but when you re-read it you might understand. Also the scanlator note at the end of the manga also explains it in detail.

Just read Bakuman to find out how people draw manga.
And the genius in that manga is like that. At least the part about producing a huge amount of work.

I definitely agree with you. Although Han Yu Rang is ok...I guess it's just me but it seems like I can somehow relate to the characters. Like I mean I have this slight obsession with food and most of my friends classify me as a violent sports maniac...So, after reading Hwang Mi Ri's works I couldn't stand reading another shojou manga with extremely weak female leads. They really annoy me 'cause not only are they dense and stupid they are always so dependent on the male lead. I mean it's ok if the main character is dense but being dependent on the male character makes me wonder what would happen if the male lead were to disappear and if she hand any basic life skills at all.

well I have mixed feelings for her works... to make it short:
the story/plot is always the same and I'm kind of fond of it so whenever I feel like reading something like this I know exactly where to look for it ^^...
on the other hand the art is not really good and to rushed...but it's not so bad that you can't read it.

Well, at least, such an abundance of series must certainly be a blessing for Hwang Mi Ri's fans. Good for them.
As for me, I tend to dislike (HATE !! ) her tortuous, agonizing, distressing love triangles...
