Good luck! i'm also attending military this Sunday,i'll be serving for 2 years.
Ohhh what am I going to do without my anime and manga haha!
tbh, i'm really stressed. I'm not physically strong, underweight and have medical problems so I dunno how i'll survive. I'm a fragile girl xD
but it's mandatory so I don't have a choice.

Mandatory military service even for a girl and for two years...

You must be Israeli. Here's hoping you will never see real action during your time.

I which you luck Karona. I could skip actual employment because i didn´t´ do the full 4 years but i did take part in some Afghanistan(in the snow 🤢 ) training. I also wore the full Afghanistan gear once and holy shit that bulletproof west was heavy. On of the empoyed soldiers from my base died when his jeep drove over a mine over there and was on the news because of it. The whole base attended the funeral.

I read in http://www.amazon.com/How-Understand-Israel-Days-Less/dp/140122234X that young people in Israel are more respected and acknowledged in politics because of their duty to the country. Is this true ? I am not so hot on the idea of mandatory "real" service but i like the gender equality bit. My string of 3 direct superiors were all women(this is rare) and nearly all my bosses in the past and present. I live a weird live in retrospect.

@Knightzomegaz
Oh right, I should've read the previous comments xD sorry!
but glad you're done with it. c: i'm sure going to need all the luck I can get.

@residentgrigo
thanks, and that's terrible 😔
and about your question, I don't really know about politics but if you're looking for a good job they're always going to ask if you served in the army and for how long. If you did you have a better chance getting a job than someone who didn't serve. So yeah I guess you get more respect for serving in the army.
