Quote from Reidojin

Hating racists is being racist.

That's more like prejudice or bigotry, because racists come from all different races. You can't just group all racists together and call them a race.

And personally, if they think they have the so-called right to judge and hate an entire race despite not even knowing how every person acts like from that race, then we have the right to hate their ignorant asses.

Quote from Reidojin

racism n.

  1. The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others.
  2. Discrimination or prejudice based on race.

Racism is not hate. The belief or view that: Asians are better at math is racist. Black people are more criminalistic is racist. Canadians are superior to Americans is racist.

Bigotry n.

 1. Stubborn and complete intolerance of any creed, belief, or opinion that differs from one's own.
 2. The attitude, state of mind, or behavior characteristic of a bigot; intolerance.

The key difference being intolerance. Most of whats being said is actually bigotry, not racism. Most if not all people are generally racist in some manner. To not be would be similar to Buddha/Christ etc. Theres a quote i've seen attributed to Buddha "No matter who you are I love you equally. -Buddha"

My point is that thinking your or your group is superior to others doesn't make you a bad person. Actively persecuting differing groups generaly is. Hating racists is being racist.
😉

. . . What's the difference between someone thinking asians are better at math and someone thinking blacks are skilled at stealing stuff? Maybe the nature of "math" and "crime" are different, but it's really all the same 😀

It sounds like you're trying to separate racists from racism/ignorant people making off-handed comments, when there's no difference.

Racism, racist, bigotry...They are all the same. 😕 It all falls under bigotry, they're all just subdivided words. Does it matter if the hate or intolerance is there? Even when some uneducated ass says something that isn't negative, yet still offends and is obviously discriminating?

Although here I must fix one irritating thing that irritates me
beyond belief. So much that I must put my fictional nerd goggles on. Racism is an ism that finds a race superior.
Men who think women are worse than men are not racists,
as women are not a race.

Guys working in a wheelbarrow company dissing guys
working in a handcart company is not racism either,
as a man working in a handcart comapany is not a race.

An old man spitting on a teen for the teen being a teen
is not racism, as teen is not a race.

Racism applies to race and only race. Why would the
stem word be race otherwise?

Not relating to any post earlier:

Racism is harboring progress in all aspects all over the world. Granted it has drastically been reduced but it still remains rampant. Now being one with your culture and expressing it is in no way wrong it shows your identity. Racism is wrong but looking at other races as they are and trying to understand them should always be around.

Everyone's a racist. You are a hypocrite or a masochist if you believe you are not. It varies in levels and amounts but it boils down to component of thinking, speaking, and action. I dislike racism and I have enough self control and tolerance for it but it doesn't change the fact that I think my race is better/superior in many aspects compared to other races.

It does stem from many negative childhood experiences from one particular group and I do have friends of many different races because they are generally good people beyond their race, but because the way I look and the differences in many aspects from societal norm, in meeting people for the first time, I rarely get treated fairly no matter how gracious I treat them. When there is a time that changes, maybe my way of thinking could change for the better.

That's certainly a great point. Maybe it's in the fault of how we come to understand another relating to their race. Say, someone with an Asian or African ethnicity act a certain way. We come to identify a common thing among people of a particular race. This identification is probably what needs to change first.

I think it's kinda low, it's surprising. Out of the 283 people that voted, only 13 of them said they're racist. I'm sure most people that believe in racism didn't vote or lied. If I was really racist, I know I would plead the fifth.

I choose to hate individuals rather than a whole race. Of course, these individuals normally deserve to be hated. Racism is a stupid thing. The funny thing is, I see many immigrant families in my neighborhood who are so racist they won't let their kids outside if they see anyone who isn't the same race as them. I've even seen parents pull their children away from other kids and drag them over to kids of their own race and force them to stay there. I thought many immigrants came to Canada/USA to give their kids a better life, why force them to live the same type of life they did? Kinda stupid to move to a country of cultural diversity with the intent of only allowing your kids around their own race. Why come here at all is what I keep thinking.

No I'm just surprised at the fact that these people can actually admit to something that is viewed as an extremely bad thing by society.

One word: anonymity

People can be how they want to be on the internet and sadly, that usually ends up as being close-minded.
