I didn't think it was very smut-like until the most recent chapter. Chapter 32. Some of the classroom scenes do seem like they could be smutty but the mangaka stopped right before. Not sure if that makes sense...

I don't really know how that sponge bath scene triggered this thought for you, coz despite everything, development between these two is excrutiatingly and irritatingly slow. It annoys me how unromantic their relationship seems, and now with the latest chapter 37, there was a kiss and now he's gonna step out of the scene for a while. Grr!!!
How I wish there were more sexually charged situations that could be thinly veiled opening smut scenes!
If it were to be a smut front, it would be interesting with their non cliched roles, with her loud and take charge personality and his calm demeanour!

what triggered the thought from me was during the ocean arc where misaki came out in the little bikini o_o and of course usui has to feel jealous over who might look at her...

haha the random sexual tension between these two is amazing,

And I think it has something to do with Usui-kun's eyes. He often makes these bedroom eyes which make you think: Oh, now he's going to seduce Misaki! But then he stops leaving us readers desperate behind. He isn't as forceful as these "smut-manga-guys". Maybe Usui is just more patient.
